A tremendous leader with a strong basketball mind and understanding for the game, Addie Micir was appointed the eighth head coach in Lehigh women’s basketball program history on April 27, 2022. She will enter her eighth season overall at Lehigh in 2026-27 and her fifth season as the Mountain Hawks’ head coach. In her fourth season at the helm, the 2025–26 campaign marked another strong year for coach Micir and the Mountain Hawks. Lehigh finished 17-15 overall and 11-7 in Patriot League play, earning a berth in the WNIT for the second time in program history. The Mountain Hawks earned the No. 4 seed in the Patriot League Tournament, defeated Loyola Maryland 68-54 in the first round at Stabler Arena, and knocked off top-seeded Navy 81-76 in Annapolis before falling to Holy Cross in the PL championship game. Under Micir’s leadership, senior Lily Fandre earned All-Patriot League First Team honors, junior Whitney Lind was named to the All-Patriot League Third Team, and first-year Leia Edwards was selected to the All-Rookie Team. Allison Chernow enters her third season with the Mountain Hawks in 2026-27. She serves as Lehigh’s recruiting coordinator. Chernow made a significant impact in 2025-26 as the Mountain Hawks went 17-15 overall record and an 11-7 mark in Patriot League play in 2025-26, earning a berth in the WNIT for the second time in program history. Chernow mentored three All-Patriot League selections during the season, helping guide the Mountain Hawks to individual success across multiple classes. Kait Cresencia is entering her fifth season with the Lehigh women’s basketball program in 2026-27 and her third as associate head coach, a title she earned in September 2024 following two standout seasons with the Mountain Hawks. Cresencia’s leadership helped guide Lehigh to a 17-15 overall record and an 11-7 mark in Patriot League play in 2025-26, earning a berth in the WNIT for the second time in program history. Known for her sharp basketball IQ, relentless work ethic, and commitment to developing high-character student-athletes, Cresencia continues to shape a culture of excellence at Lehigh, on and off the court. On the court, senior Lily Fandre earned All-Patriot League First Team honors, junior Whitney Lind was named to the All-Patriot League Third Team, and first-year Leia Edwards was selected to the All-Rookie Team. Off the court, Lind earned All-Patriot League Academic Team honors as well as CSC Academic All-District recognition, while junior Gracyn Lovette also collected CSC Academic All-District honors. The 2026-27 season will mark Sarah Assante’s second year on staff with the Mountain Hawks after joining the program in July 2025. She brings nearly a decade of coaching experience, including Division I stops at Bryant University and Dartmouth College, to Lehigh’s staff. Assante helped guide a successful 2025-26 season in which the Mountain Hawks finished 17-15 overall and 11-7 in Patriot League play, earning a berth in the WNIT for the second time in program history. Under Assante’s guidance, senior Lily Fandre earned All-Patriot League First Team honors, junior Whitney Lind was named to the All-Patriot League Third Team, and first-year Leia Edwards was selected to the All-Rookie Team.
