Offensive Quality Control (Asst. Offensive Line)
Alex Buchert is in his fourth season on Lehigh’s coaching staff. Buchert will coach Lehigh’s tight ends in 2026 after serving as an offensive quality control coach, assisting with the offensive line for his first three seasons. Buchert’s first three seasons on staff have been highlighted by Lehigh’s back-to-back Patriot League championships in 2024 and 2025. Over the last two seasons, Lehigh has led the Patriot League and ranked in the top 10 nationally in both rushing offense and fewest sacks allowed. The Mountain Hawks set a school record rushing for total rushing yards in 2025, gaining 3,002, highlighted by four 300-yard rushing games. Lehigh offensive linemen have garnered five All-Patriot League honors over the last two seasons, with right guard Langston Jones earning back-to-back first team laurels, Aidan Palmer recognized at both tackle and guard and George Padezanin earning honors at center. All three linemen have received All-America honors from the Associated Press over the last two seasons. Buchert came to Lehigh in 2023 following three seasons as the assistant offensive line coach/tight ends coach at Kutztown University. He was on staff for Kutztown’s 2021 PSAC championship and Division II NCAA quarterfinal appearance with the Golden Bears going 19-5 in 2021 and 2022. Associate Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach
Dan Hunt enters his fourth season as Lehigh’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Hunt was promoted to Associate Head Coach in March 2026. Last year the Mountain Hawks led the Patriot League and ranked fourth nationally in rushing offense, averaging 230.9 yards per game on the ground. Six members of the Lehigh offense earned first team All-Patriot League honors in 2025, including quarterback Hayden Johnson, and running back Luke Yoder, who was the Patriot League’s Offensive Player of the Year. Other first team All-Patriot League honorees included wide receiver Geoffrey Jamiel, tight end Joseph Marranca and offensive linemen Langston Jones and Aidan Palmer. Jones went on to earn All-America honors from four different outlets. Lehigh averaged 31.8 points per game in 2025 and led the Patriot League in total offense, averaging 425.2 yards per contest. In Lehigh’s 2024 Patriot League championship campaign, Hunt oversaw a Lehigh offense that featured a lot of youth at the skill positions but grew and produced as the season progressed. The Mountain Hawks boasted one of the nation’s top rushing attacks, averaging 201.9 yards per game on the ground. Defensive Run Game Coordinator/Defensive Line Coach
Jeff Comissiong joined the Lehigh coaching staff as Defensive Line Coach in February 2025 and added the title of Defensive Run Game Coordinator for the 2026 campaign. A veteran with nearly 30 years of coaching experience, Comissiong comes to Lehigh after spending the 2024 season as the defensive line coach at Boston College. In his first season, Comissiong mentored a defensive line group that made major contributions to a defensive unit that led the nation in rushing defense (70.1 ypg.) and ranked fourth nationally in sacks per game. Defensive linemen Matt Spatny and TJ Burke earned first team All-Patriot League honors with both players garnering All-America recognition. Spatny also became Lehigh’s career leader in sacks. The 2024 season marked Comissiong’s second stint at BC. He coached a defensive line that contributed to a defense that ranked in the top 25 nationally against the rush. Defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku led the nation in sacks and was the ACC Defensive Player of the Year. Comissiong spent the 2023 season as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at his alma mater, the University of Maine. Cornerbacks Coach
Keeon Shaw enters his third season season as Lehigh’s cornerbacks coach. Junior DJ Brown successfully shifted from safety to cornerback and broke up 11 passes, while Aidan Singleton had two interceptions and earned first team All-Patriot League honors. In his first season, Shaw led a cornerback group that contributed to Lehigh leading the Patriot League and ranking 16th nationally in pass defense. Lehigh registered just three interceptions in 2023, with that number increasing to 12 in 2024, with cornerbacks Jordan Adderley, Aidan Singleton and Andrew Worthy combining for four. Shaw came to Lehigh after spending two seasons as an offensive quality control coach at Dartmouth College where he assisted with wide receivers and the offensive line and was on staff for the Big Green’s 2023 Ivy League championship. In his time at Dartmouth, Shaw worked with five players, spanning the wide receiver, offensive line and return specialist groups, that received All-Ivy League recognition. Prior to his stint at Dartmouth, Shaw spent two seasons as a defensive graduate assistant at the University of West Alabama. Wide Receivers Coach/Recruiting Coordinator

Behind Jamiel, junior Mason Humphrey, sophomore Matt D’Avino and first-year Anthony Feaster contributed 64 catches for 1,087 yards and six touchdowns. Lehigh’s 2024 Patriot League championship season saw McMaster work with a young receiver room full of first and second year players. Junior Geoffrey Jamiel, the veteran member of the group, led the way with 60 receptions for 768 yards and eight touchdowns, while sophomore Mason Humphrey developed as a big play threat with 587 yards and five touchdowns on 45 catches. Jamiel garnered second team All-Patriot League recognition. In his first season, McMaster’s wide receiver group was led by Connor Kennedy who enjoyed a breakout season, leading the Mountain Hawks in receptions, yards and touchdowns. Defensive Coordinator
Mike Kashurba enters his ninth season on the Lehigh coaching staff. He was promoted to defensive coordinator in March 2026, a position he previously held from 2019-2022. Connor Poole was the first team All-Patriot League punter and combined with Nick Garrido to convert 86 percent of their field goal attempts in 2025 and 98 percent of their extra points. Linebackers Coach
Tom Jurkovec joined the Lehigh coaching staff in March 2025. He is in his second season as Lehigh’s linebackers coach. In his first season, Jurkovec coached the linebackers that contributed to the top rushing defense in the FCS. The Mountain Hawks allowed just over 70 rushing yards per game and also ranked in the top five nationally in scoring defense, total defense and sacks. Brycen Edwards led Lehigh with 83 tackles and added nine tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks. William Parton stepped in alongside Edwards and ranked second on the team with 63 stops, while Cole Hughes emerged to provide depth to the unit. A Pittsburgh-area native, Jurkovec comes to Lehigh after three seasons at Boston College, including the last two as a graduate assistant working with the defensive line and linebackers. Jurkovec helped BC’s rushing defense grow from a unit that ranked 121st in FBS football in 2023 to one that ranked in the top 25 nationally last season. In 2021, Jurkovec served as the defensive backs coach at Washington & Jefferson college in Washington, Pa. He mentored a pair of all-conference defensive backs during his time with the Presidents. Jurkovec’s first coaching position came at his alma mater, Duquesne University, where he worked as the assistant linebackers coach during 2020 and the spring 2021 season, working primarily with the Dukes’ outside linebackers.
