2026 marks Brendan McIntyre's 11th season on the Lehigh men’s soccer coaching staff. McIntyre has previously served in a variety of roles within the Lehigh program including Assistant Coach and Director of Soccer Operations.McIntyre holds the USSF "C" License and serves as a head coach at the ECNL level with Lehigh Valley United. McIntyre helped guide the 2019 Mountain Hawks to their third Patriot League Championship in program history and the team's fifth NCAA Tournament appearance. In addition, McIntyre assisted Lehigh to just its second-ever regular season crown and No. 1 overall seed in the tournament. The Mountain Hawks closed out the 2019 campaign with a 13-5-3 overall record, an unbeaten 6-0-3 record in the Patriot League and an undefeated home record of 7-0-3 at the Ulrich Sports Complex. A Bethlehem native, McIntyre played his college soccer at Muhlenberg College where he earned four varsity letters while competing at defensive central midfielder for the Mules. The 2010 Muhlenberg men's soccer team recorded the longest unbeaten streak in program history (15 games) and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship after earning an at-large bid. While at Muhlenberg, McIntyre also competed at the club level for Lehigh Valley United Sonic and helped the squad capture the 2012 NPSL National Championship. Ryan Hess enters his 16th season on the Lehigh men’s soccer coaching staff and tenth season as Associate Head Coach in 2026. In 2025, Hess helped guide the Mountain Hawks to the number two seed in the Patriot League tournament, eventually hosting the championship game against Lafayette on November 15. Lehigh had six All-Patriot League honorees, including two first team selections in Thomas Robertson and Giacomo Zizza. In 2022, Hess mentored first team All-Patriot League honoree Jack Sarkos. Sarkos was also named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region second team. Hess helped guide the 2019 Mountain Hawks to their third Patriot League Championship in program history and the team's fifth NCAA Tournament appearance.
