Head Coach
Rob Herb enters his 22nd season at the helm of the men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs in 2025-26. Herb, the three-time Patriot League Women’s Coach of the Year, owns a combined dual meet record of 176-168. He has coached 15 individuals and three relay teams to Patriot League titles, including Courtney Patterson, who became Lehigh’s first female individual league champion in 11 years in 2014, Kaitlyn Ruffing, who captured individual league titles in each of her first two seasons of 2014 and 2015, Meghan Thompson, who capped her career with titles in her final two seasons, Megan Fennell, who became the program's first female diving champion in 2018, Ann Foley, who captured a gold medal in the 100-yard free in 2022 and Sarah Hardy 23, '24G, who became the first swimmer under Herb to win two gold medals at the Patriot League Championships. Justin White became the men's first champion in nearly a decade when he claimed the 100 free crown in 2017. Herb also leads his teams to excellence in the classroom during his time leading the program. Patriot League Champion Dan Johnson who was named the league’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year for Men’s Swimming and Diving in 2008 and 2009. Herb’s Lehigh teams are consistently lauded by the CSCAA for their academic prowess. Ruffing (2015), Thompson (2018) and Rachel Rider (2018) have all achieved CSCAA Scholar All-America honors during Herb's tenure. He attended Rutgers Preparatory School where he was also captain of his high school wrestling team. Dylan Lives in Forks Township with his fiancé Melissa and enjoys the beach and sailing.
