Sarah Assante

Biography

The 2026-27 season will mark Sarah Assante’s second year on staff with the Mountain Hawks after joining the program in July 2025. She brings nearly a decade of coaching experience, including Division I stops at Bryant University and Dartmouth College, to Lehigh’s staff. Assante helped guide a successful 2025-26 season in which the Mountain Hawks finished 17-15 overall and 11-7 in Patriot League play, earning a berth in the WNIT for the second time in program history. Under Assante’s guidance, senior Lily Fandre earned All-Patriot League First Team honors, junior Whitney Lind was named to the All-Patriot League Third Team, and first-year Leia Edwards was selected to the All-Rookie Team. Under her guidance, Bryant had a first team All-America East player and All-Rookie team member in her first season, while in 2024-25, Assante helped Nia Scott earn America East All-Defensive honors while leading the conference in rebounding and ranking second in field goal percentage.
