Head Coach
Victoria Rumph, an international caliber catcher who was among the invitees for Softball Canada's Olympic tryouts in 2020 and 2021, took over as head coach at The College of Wooster on June 13, 2016. During her tenure, Rumph has compiled a 150-157 record. Rumph's arrival signaled rapid upswing in momentum for the program as the Fighting Scots qualified for the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament for the first time since 2012 and finished with a 20-23 record in her first year. Two years later, the program enjoyed its best season with a program-record 26 wins (26-13) and a 12-game winning streak. For her efforts in 2019, Rumph was selected as the NCAC Coach of the Year. In 2021, Wooster broke the NCAC and school record for batting average (.357). In 2023, third baseman Julia Jennings earned the National Fastpitch Coaches Association/Rawlings Gold Glove Award and broke the program's single-season batting average record at .450. Prior to Wooster, Rumph spent two years with Muskingum University's softball program as an assistant coach, helping guide the Fighting Muskies to the championship round of the 2016 Ohio Athletic Conference Softball Tournament. As a player, Rumph was part of Softball Canada's Women's National Team for nearly a decade, competing at the Pan American Softball Championship, World Cup of Softball, and Japan Cup. Caroline Turner joined The College of Wooster softball team as the program's full-time assistant coach in the summer of 2025. Before arriving at Wooster, Turner spent the last two years as an assistant coach at West Virginia Wesleyan College. Turner played softball at The University Findlay where she got her Master of Arts in Education with a Human Resource Development Strand and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. While at West Virginia Wesleyan, Turner fulfilled all the duties of an assistant coach with a hand in practices, development, meetings, recruiting and pre-game functions. Turner also has experience as a softball camp instructor and has assisted with a 12U travel team. While at Findlay, Turner was a three-time All-GMAC Team honoree with two instances on the first team. As a senior, Turner also earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators. When Turner concluded her final season at Findlay, the fifth-year player ranked fourth all-time with 35 doubles and 106 RBI. Turner was a career .344 hitter (169-of-491) with eight home runs.
