Head Coach
Shaun Keenan was named the 14th head men's tennis head coach at the College of Wooster in summer 2024. He came to Wooster after serving as the director of racquets at Fairlawn Country Club in Akron and director of racquets at Paramount Tennis Club in Medina, positions he held for over 10 years. Keenan brought plenty of Division III tennis experience, having been the head men's and women's tennis coach at John Carroll for 13 years from 2010-22. During his tenure at John Carroll, he won 11 Ohio Athletic Conference championships and was a five-time OAC Coach of the Year. He was named the 2022 United States Professional Tennis Association Midwest College Coach of the Year and the 2017 Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Women's Central Region Coach of the Year. He made 11 NCAA Division III Championships appearances—six on the men's side and five on the women's side. As director of racquets, Keenan developed United States Tennis Association adult teams and junior interclub programs while teaching all levels and ages of tennis and pickleball. He is a USPTA Elite Professional 1 and a USPTA/IFP Academy certified pickleball instructor. Keenan earned a bachelor's degree in international business from Wichita State University in 1998 and an MBA from the University of Louisiana in 2000. Volunteer Asst. Coach
Steve Kuri, a two-time All-American and member of The College of Wooster's W Association Hall of Fame, started assisting his alma mater's program in a volunteer capacity in 2026. Kuri has over two decades of experience as a teaching professional in Northeast Ohio. He currently is a tennis professional at Paramount Tennis Club in Westlake and an assistant high school girls coach. Kuri led Wooster to a pair of North Coast Athletic Conference titles, and to this day, the Fighting Scots are one of three men's programs in the conference to win a league crown. His 128 wins are sixth in program history and his outstanding career overlapped with five of the six individuals above him on the program's combined wins list. Kuri graduated from Wooster with a degree in political science.
