Head Coach
A 1989 graduate of The College of Wooster, Rich Danch is in his 30th year as his alma mater's head golf coach. During his first 29 seasons, Danch has guided the Fighting Scots to 18 tournament wins, with the program winning multiple tournaments for the first time since 1997-98 during the 2022-23 season, as well as two runner-up finishes within the highly-competitive North Coast Athletic Conference, and an appearance at the NCAA Div. III Championships. His tenure has been highlighted by the 1998 campaign when the team came in second at the conference tourney and then placed 13th among a field of 23 teams at nationals. Also of note, Danch has coached one NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship recipient in David Roney, one All-American in Jeff Nimeh, three GCAA All-American Scholars, and 21 different All-NCAC players. During the 2023-24 season, Wooster won multiple tournaments for the second straight year, a first for the program since it was the defending national champion in 1976. Wooster followed that up with two tournament wins during 2024-25, marking the first time in program history the Scots have won multiple tournaments in three straight seasons. A "Class A" member of the Professional Golfers Association of America since 1993, Danch possesses a wealth of experience as an instructor, which is of great benefit not only to his coaching, but also to his position as PGA Director of Instruction at the L.C. Asst. Coach
Brian Kiper, who won two state championships as a high school basketball coach and was a member of nearby Triway High School's state semifinalist team as a player, joined The College of Wooster men's basketball staff in advance of the 2023-24 season and started assisting the men's golf program in a volunteer capacity in 2024. Kiper, who teaches in the Triway Local School District, served as Triway's golf coach from 1997-2001 and 2012-2023 and guided the program to two state tournament berths and five league championships. Locally, he was a basketball head coach at Northwestern High School and Triway High School. While in Myrtle Beach, Kiper compiled a 99-14 record with two state championships in basketball at Myrtle Beach High School and won two league titles as the girls' golf coach. Additionally, Kiper led one team and two individuals to state championship berths in golf. Kiper graduated from Kent State University with a degree in physical education.

Volunteer Asst. Coach
A 2013 graduate of The College of Wooster, John Angelo is in his 11th year as a volunteer assistant coach at his alma mater. Angelo ended his career on a high note, finishing third individually at the 2013 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship Series, picking up first-team all-conference honors in the process. Angelo impressed at the second event of the series, earning medalist honors with a 4-over-par 146 over the final 36 holes. As a junior, Angelo added medalist honors at the Indianbrook Invitational, with a 1-over-par 73. For his career, Angelo logged nine top-10 finishes, and averaged 80.1 strokes over 69 rounds. Professionally, Angelo works in the insurance industry. Angelo and fellow alumnus Marcus Carano '16 are three-time qualifiers for the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championships. In 2021, they were among the final 32 teams out of 128 entries. Angelo earned his bachelor's in mathematics from the College.
