EDUCATION: Mercy College - 2001-05 YEARS AT SAN FRANCISCO: June 2022- Present CAREER HIGHLIGHTS AT SAN FRANCISCO: Rob DiToma was named the fifth head coach of the University of San Francisco baseball program on June 15, 2022, after spending the previous three seasons at FDU, where he was head coach of the Knights since June 2019. Finished the 2025 season with a 26-30 record and posted nine conference victories as DiToma led San Francisco to its first West Coast Conference Tournament appearance since 2022. The Dons earned their most series wins in the DiToma era, recording seven throughout the campaign, with four coming during conference play ... During his time with the Waves, Rowland helped guide the program to 70 victories, highlighted by a 24-26 mark in the 2022 season. That season, he led the pitching staff to the fourth-lowest earned-run average in the West Coast Conference at 4.50 while coaching Trevor Hinkel to a team-best 3.80 ERA, the ninth lowest in the WCC. As a team in Rowland's first season with the program in 2022, Pepperdine posted impressive wins over UCLA, Cal State Fullerton, and UC Santa Barbara while earning WCC series victories over Portland, LMU, and Pacific. Before his time in Malibu, Rowland was a member of the San Francisco State coaching staff from 2018 to 2021. In his first season with the Gators, Rowland helped steer the program to national prominence as the team ranked No. 17 in the Collegiate Baseball Poll in addition to reaching No. 4 in the NCBWA West Region Poll and No. 5 in the NCAA West Region Poll. EDUCATION: St. Thomas Aquinas - 2005-09 YEARS AT SAN FRANCISCO: June 2024 - Present OTHER CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Garvey comes to the Hilltop after serving as head coach at Division II St. Thomas Aquinas in Sparkill, N.Y., compiling a 101-93 overall record in five seasons. Garvey garnered early success at the helm, leading STAC to an East Coast Conference (ECC) regular season title and an appearance in the NCAA Division II East Regional in 2021. The Spartans compiled a 26-7 overall record throughout the campaign for the team's highest winning percentage in program history. The team also added 17 league victories, the most the Spartans have posted since 2018. Before taking over as head coach prior to the 2020 season, Garvey served as the associate head coach at STAC for 10 seasons. As the second in command, he helped guide the Spartans to five regular-season titles, four ECC Championship titles, six NCAA Tournament appearances, and two NCAA National Championship appearances. PERSONAL HIGHLIGHTS: Notably, 30 players under Garvey's tutelage at STAC have gone on to play professionally, with Gio Dingcong and Joseph Pena being selected by the Oakland Athletics in the Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft in 2018. Prior to coaching he was a standout player at St. Edmunds Prep (Brooklyn), where he set the all-time fielding percentage record while serving as captain on a the winningest team in school history.
