Head Women's Basketball Coach
EDUCATION: Stanford - 1989-93 YEARS AT SAN FRANCISCO: Sept. 2016 - Present CAREER HIGHLIGHTS AT SAN FRANCISCO: Molly Goodenbour, a two-time national champion at Stanford who has over a decade of head coaching experience on the collegiate level, was named the ninth head coach in University of San Francisco women's basketball history on Sept. 28, 2016. This is Goodenbour's third coaching stint on the Hilltop, where she served as an assistant coach with the Dons during the 1994-95 and 2005-06 seasons. With a revamped roster for the 2025-26 season, Goodenbour’s 10th season on the Hilltop, the team finished the season with a 19-15 overall record while finishing seventh in the West Coast Conference with a 9-9 mark. The Dons’ 19 wins were the most in a season since posting a 19-13 record during the 2022-23 campaign. The program also posted two victories in the 2026 WCC Championship in Las Vegas, Nev., defeating San Diego and Pepperdine in the second and third rounds to reach the quarterfinals for the sixth straight year. The green and gold’s two wins in the conference tournament are the most by the team since winning the title in 2016. The team also earned an at-large bid to the 2026 WNIT, reaching a postseason tournament for the fourth time in Goodenbour’s tenure. Candy Edokpaigbe, a sophomore transfer guard from Seattle U, impressed during the campaign and led the team, ranking second in the WCC in scoring at 17.8 points per game. EDUCATION: San Francisco - 2016-20 YEARS AT SAN FRANCISCO: August 2024 - Present OTHER CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Lu comes to the Hilltop after spending four seasons serving as an assistant coach and head coach of the women's basketball program at Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, Neb. In his first season at the helm in 2022-23, Lu led the Cougars to a 21-9 overall record, a Region IX South title, and was named Region IX South Coach of the Year. Following the season, Lu was named an honoree on the 2023 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Thirty Under 30 list, the lone NJCAA head coach to earn the award. This past season in 2023-24, Lu guided the Cougars to a 25-7 record and a berth to the Region IX Tournament, making it to the quarterfinal round. The 2021-22 season marked Lu's second season at WNCC and his first working exclusively with the women's basketball program. The Cougars finished the year with a 30-3 record and earned an at-large bid to the NJCAA National Tournament, knocking off Murray State College, Wabash Valley College, and South Plains College. PERSONAL HIGHLIGHTS: Before arriving at WNCC, Lu attended San Francisco, where he graduated in 2020 with a degree in kinesiology. Lu was an active member of the women's basketball program as he served as a team manager and a practice player from 2017-20.

Named Toros head coach on July 29. Served as head coach at UC San Diego (2005-07) and compiled a 50-10 overall record in two seasons. Led the tritons to a pair of NCAA Division II playoff appearances…Named CCAA’s Coach of the Year… Leora Juster earned Division II first team All-America honors. Spent three seasons at Mercer (2007-10) where she played an integral role in the Bears’ 17-14 record in 2008-09, which was the program’s second winning season since 1996-97. Mercer jumped from No. 315 in the country to No. 162 under Jones. Served as head coach at Cal State-Los Angeles for four seasons, leading the Golden Eagles to a program record-tying 21 wins and a consecutive appearances in the CCAA Tournament title game. EDUCATION: Texas - 2017-21 YEARS AT SAN FRANCISCO: September 2025 - Present OTHER CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Yablonsky enters his first season on the Hilltop after spending one season as an assistant coach at San Diego. In his one season with the Toreros, he worked closely with All-WCC selections Kylie Horstmeyer and Truitt Reilly while helping develop opponent scouting reports. Yablonsky joined the Toreros following a successful tenure as a graduate assistant coach at his alma mater, Texas. During his time with the program, he was heavily involved in opposition scouting, guard and post player development, and leading the undergraduate student managers. In addition, Yablonsky assisted in recruiting efforts and helped recruit practice players for the program. As a graduate assistant, he helped guide the Longhorns to a 59-15 record across two seasons, including a 33-5 mark in 2023-24. He was also part of a team that earned a No. 1 seed in the 2024 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament for the first time since 2004 and made a trip to the Elite Eight for the third time in the last four seasons. PERSONAL HIGHLIGHTS: Yablonsky worked his way up to graduate assistant after serving as a student manager. In addition, Yablonsky also had a stint as a team attendant with the NBA G League's Austin Spurs during the 2019-20 season. Yablonsky graduated from Texas with a Master of Education in 2023 and bachelor's degree in kinesiology and health in 2021.
