EDUCATION: Stanford - 1989-93 YEARS AT SAN FRANCISCO: Sept. 2016 - Present CAREER HIGHLIGHTS AT SAN FRANCISCO: Molly Goodenbour, a two-time national champion at Stanford who has over a decade of head coaching experience on the collegiate level, was named the ninth head coach in University of San Francisco women's basketball history on Sept. 28, 2016. This is Goodenbour's third coaching stint on the Hilltop, where she served as an assistant coach with the Dons during the 1994-95 and 2005-06 seasons. With a revamped roster for the 2025-26 season, Goodenbour’s 10th season on the Hilltop, the team finished the season with a 19-15 overall record while finishing seventh in the West Coast Conference with a 9-9 mark. The Dons’ 19 wins were the most in a season since posting a 19-13 record during the 2022-23 campaign. The program also posted two victories in the 2026 WCC Championship in Las Vegas, Nev., defeating San Diego and Pepperdine in the second and third rounds to reach the quarterfinals for the sixth straight year. The green and gold’s two wins in the conference tournament are the most by the team since winning the title in 2016. The team also earned an at-large bid to the 2026 WNIT, reaching a postseason tournament for the fourth time in Goodenbour’s tenure. Candy Edokpaigbe, a sophomore transfer guard from Seattle U, impressed during the campaign and led the team, ranking second in the WCC in scoring at 17.8 points per game.
