Carbine had one of the most challenging coaching jobs in the country in his first two seasons, as the Trojans deployed six different starting OL units both seasons due to injuries. The 2025 unit was led by a pair of All-Sun Belt selections as Eli Russ took home second team honors and Matt Henry earned third team honors. His first season saw the six different lineups come in the first eight weeks of the season. Once able to field a stable unit, Carbine’s offensive line gelled into one of the tops in the Group of Five. The Trojans allowed just four sacks in November, the fewest in the Sun Belt, and the offensive line paved the way for Damien Taylor to rush for 1,010 yards, the 13th 1,000-yard season in program history. Carbine’s unit blocked for three different starting quarterbacks throughout the 2024 season and allowed for just the third 1,000-yard rushing/receiving combo in program history, as Devonte Ross joined Taylor in the 1,000-yard club.
