Meade took over Troy’s head coaching role in 2022 following four seasons as the pitching coach at South Carolina. 2025 Meade’s fourth season began with a No. 25 national ranking, marking the first time the program had received a preseason ranking. With a 39-21 record, Troy was ranked each week from the preseason through Week 14, the longest stretch in the program’s Division-I history that the Trojans have been ranked. The Cairo, Ga., native finished his Troy career with the third-most strikeouts in program history (262) as well as ranking in the top ten in games started (4th - 52), wins (T-6th - 22) and innings pitched (T-8th - 243.1). During his career as a Trojan, Gainous earned numerous accolades, including being named the Sun Belt Freshman of the Year and a Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American in 2021. He was named to the Perfect Game All-Sun Belt Team in 2022, a season in which he ranked third in the Sun Belt in ERA (2.98). As a senior in 2025, Gainous went 6-1 in 11 starts and was named to the All-Sun Belt Second Team. Gainous graduated from Troy in 2024 with his bachelor’s in sports management.

During his playing career, the Pensacola, Fla., native starred at Gordon State College (2019-20), Kennesaw State (2021) and Georgia Southern (2022-23). Sherrill was named to the All-Atlantic Sun Second Team in 2021 before landing on the All-Sun Belt First Team during both of his seasons at Georgia Southern. As a senior, Sherrill took home the Sun Belt batting title with a .409 batting average. Sherrill graduated from Georgia Southern in 2024 with his bachelor’s in psychology.

Bialkoski assisted in Troy’s 40-win 2023 campaign, which saw the Trojans appear in the NCAA Regional in Tuscaloosa, Ala., where they won the first game over Boston College 11-10. Before that, the Trojans were the No. 3 seed and advanced to the quarterfinals on a walk-off win over App State. He also boosted Troy to rank in the top-3 in triples (first – 19),base-on-balls (third – 306), double plays (second – 51), double plays per game (third – 0.82), home runs (second – 108), home runs per game (third – 1.74), runs (second – 476) and triples per game (second – 0.31).
