Head Coach
Sarah Davis, the winningest volleyball coach in The College of Wooster's history with 250 victories (250-242), is in her 19th year leading the Fighting Scots. She recently concluded a three-year term of chair of the physical education minor. Davis has five top-three finishes in the NCAC to her credit, highlighted by vaulting into second-place in the conference standings in 2008, which marked the Scots' highest finish since 1985 and resulted in NCAC Coach of the Year honors. Additionally, Wooster has four 20-win seasons during her tenure, with a high mark of 22-10 coming in 2011. In 2021, Wooster went 20-9, knocked off NCAC champion Denison University in the semifinals of the NCAC Tournament to advance to the NCAC Tournament title match for the first time since 1985, and the program logged a 10-match winning streak for the first time since 1984. Davis has coached an AVCA third-team All-American (Ali Drushal in 2008), three NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship recipients (Kelley Johnson in 2012-13, Syd Case in 2021-22, & Brooke Swain in 2021-22), two first-team College Sports Communicators Academic All-Americans® (Kelley Johnson in 2012 & Syd Case in 2021), and 23 different all-conference players. Off the court, Davis fosters an atmosphere focused on academics and service. The Scots regularly earn the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award and the team annually participates together in a significant service project each year, highlighted by a six-day trip to Costa

Volunteer Asst. Coach
David Yoder enters his eighth year as an assistant on The College of Wooster's volleyball coaching staff. Yoder graduated from Malone University. He has been involved with the Smithville High School and the Malone University volleyball programs, as well as a local club volleyball coach. He is involved in a variety of aspects of the program including recruiting talent evaluation, scouting reports, and on-court coaching. Yoder is primarily responsible for training the outside hitters. Off the court, Yoder is a staff accountant at D+S distribution in Wooster.

Erica Rau, who led Oberlin College's volleyball program for 13 years, joined The College of Wooster's volleyball staff as a volunteer assistant in 2025. Rau served Oberlin's athletics department in multiple roles as assistant athletic director, senior woman administrator, deputy Title IX coordinator for athletics, and advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. As Oberlin's head coach, Rau recorded 111 victories, coached 19 All-North Coast Athletic Conference players, and mentored Taylor Gywnne to NCAC Player of the Year honors. Rau is actively involved with the American Volleyball Coaches Association and Women Leaders in College Sports. Prior to Oberlin, Rau coached at Carnegie Mellon University and Gettysburg Area High School. Rau was a four-year starter at middle hitter for Gettysburg College. She helped the Bullets to four straight Centennial Conference championships and NCAA appearances. She was a second-team all-conference selection. Rau graduated from Gettysburg with a degree in management and has an MBA from Robert Morris University.

Volunteer Asst. Coach
Lydia Spidell, who capped her career at The College of Wooster with first-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference volleyball honors, is now a volunteer assistant coach at her alma mater. A two-time all-conference selection, the former Lydia Webster's name is found throughout the program's record book, especially when it comes to blocking. Her 269 blocks are the eighth-most in program history. As a senior, Spidell set the program's record for the current scoring era with 14 blocks at Denison University. She led the team in kills as a sophomore and junior and was within the top three on the team as a first-year and senior. Spidell graduated in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in English. She married Aaron Spidell, a former standout outfielder for the Fighting Scots' baseball team in July 2020. They have two children.
