Head Coach
Michael Breler enters his seventh overall season with the Red Raiders and third as the head coach when he was promoted to the position on May 12, 2023. In his second full season at the helm, Breler coached the Red Raiders to 12 wins, with key victories coming against UTSA, San Diego State, Oklahoma State and BYU. Breler coached four Academic All-Big 12 honorees as well as five ITA Scholar-Athletes. In addition, Breler coached the doubles pairing of Sebastian Abboud and Piotr Pawlak to a career-high No. 7-ranking. The duo finished the year defeating the No. 29-ranked pair out of Arizona, 6-3, in the Big 12 Tournament. In 2024, Breler coached the Red Raiders to key wins over Utah, Tulsa and BYU, while aiding senior Olle Wallin to his second-straight NCAA Individual Championship appearance in singles. Breler also coached all-conference selections in Wallin (singles), Piotr Pawlak (doubles) and Sebastian Abboud (doubles). In addition, six Red Raiders were named to the Academic All-Big 12 Team while four were selected as ITA Scholar-Athletes. In his first season as interim head coach of the Red Raiders, Breler aided the team to 14 wins with eight of those coming against ranked opponents. Breler coached Tech to victories over ranked teams such as Alabama, Arizona State, Memphis and Middle Tennessee State. Picking up conference wins against both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, the Red Raiders earned a No. 3 seed into the Big 12 Tournament, their highest seed at the tournament since 201

Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach
Tyler Cook is an assistant strength coach for Olympic Sports at Texas Tech University. He began his strength and conditioning career in 2015 as an undergraduate intern in Exercise Sciences and was promoted to an assistant strength coach as he attained his Bachelor’s and pursued his Master’s, which he was awarded in 2017. He assisted in the implementation/programming for multiple teams including baseball, volleyball, track and field, and women’s soccer while ranking through the program. Cook became the head strength and conditioning coach of the Texas Tech softball program in 2019. He’s also an assistant for the Texas Tech baseball team, collecting accolades for three College World Series teams in 2016, 2018, and 2019, as well as three Big 12 Championship teams in 2016, 2017, and 2019. During his tenure at Texas Tech, Cook has had the opportunity to grow and learn from Master Strength Coaches, Tory Stephens and Katie Munger. Cook has earned his SCCC certification through the CSCCa.
