David Osborne joins head coach Steve Peterson’s staff from Washington State University, where he served as an assistant coach. During his time in Pullman, Osborne coached the Third and Fourth Varsity Fours, worked with the coxswains and contributed to both domestic and international recruiting efforts. Osborne also earned selection to the department’s Coug Leadership Program, recognizing emerging leaders within WSU athletics. Before arriving in Pullman, Osborne coached at Boston College while completing the Institute for Rowing Leadership fellowship at Community Rowing, Inc. The IRL accepts only five fellows annually and provides comprehensive education in rowing science, coaching methodology and program leadership. Osborne has also coached at Ready Set Row, Community Rowing, Inc., Bare Hill Rowing Association and St. Mark’s School, working with both youth and adult competitive athletes. Osborne had a decorated coxswain career at St. Lawrence University, leading the men’s team to program-best conference and Head of the Charles finishes. He graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology.

Dustin Snyder
Dustin Snyder started as a strength and conditioning intern with Football at Indiana University for the summer of 2011. The following fall term of 2011, he completed a year-long internship at Anderson University. He then returned to Indiana University to become the Graduate Assistant of Olympic sports in the fall of 2012. As the G.A. he assisted with the overseeing of interns, programing for women’s tennis, and worked with all other teams. In the spring of 2015, he became an assistant strength and conditioning coach. As an assistant, he has been programing and training men’s and women’s tennis, women’s rowing and women's soccer.. He also assists with the supervising of interns and helps with all other teams. Dustin Snyder completed his Bachelors in Kinesiology studying Exercise Science at Anderson University in 2012, where he also played four years of varsity football. In the fall of 2014, he received a Masters of Kinesiology studying Applied Sports Science. He is from southern Indiana where he enjoys hunting, fishing, and being in the great outdoors.

Associate Head Coach, Recruiting Coordinator
Grace Lindberg begins her fifth season on Indiana head rowing coach Steve Peterson’s staff in 2025. Lindberg was elevated to associate head coach during the fall of 2023. "Grace has been an integral part of getting our team back to the NCAA Championships," Peterson said when the promotion was announced. "Without her efforts, we would not have seen those improvements, and, because of that, it felt natural to elevate her to the position of associate head coach." Indiana made a second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championships in 2024, its eighth in 10 seasons. Lindberg coached the Second Varsity Eight crew that finished No. 16 nationally and third at the Big Ten Championships, helping IU earn a program record second-place conference finish. In 2023, Lindberg helped IU return to the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2019 and seventh time in nine full seasons. Her Second Varsity Eight crew finished fourth at the Big Ten Championships before earning a 16th-place finish at the national regatta. In her second season at IU in 2022, Lindberg led the Varsity Four crews. Each of her two boats finished in top-five positions at the Big Ten Championships as Indiana placed fourth on the team. Lindberg had a successful first year working with the novice rowers. Under her leadership, the N8 boat raced to a third-place finish at the Big Ten Championships in Indianapolis. Assistant Coach/Novice
A former Big Ten rower, Katelyn Bartos joins the Indiana rowing staff ahead of the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach. Bartos previously served Wisconsin as a novice coach in two seasons from 2023-25. In her role, Bartos worked with the coaching staff to create training plans, assisted in recruiting, helped manage team communication and calendars and coached youth rowing summer camps. Bartos started her rowing career as a walk-on athlete at Ohio State in 2019, and by her senior year was competing in the first varsity eight and second varsity eight boats. As a junior, her 2V8 crew finished second at the Big Ten Championships and fourth at the NCAA Championships, boosting sixth-place team finish. That boat repeated as Big Ten runner-up her senior year, finishing eighth at the NCAA regatta as well as eighth as a program. Bartos became a Big Ten Champion in 2019, helping her second novice eight crew place first at the conference regatta. Bartos was a three-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and CRCA National Scholar Athlete. Former IU rower Sam Clifford begins her third season back in Bloomington as an assistant coach in 2025. Clifford has led the Varsity Four crews through her first two seasons coaching at IU. In 2024, Clifford guided the Varsity Four to a 17-6 record as the Hoosiers returned to the NCAA Championships for the second consecutive season. There, the V4 finished 17th nationally to help Indiana earn a 15th place team finish. At the 2024 Big Ten Championships, Clifford’s Second Varsity Four crew was one of four Hoosier boats to medal, taking bronze, while the V4 placed fourth out of eight boats. As a team, IU earned a program record second place conference finish. In her first season coaching for IU, Clifford led the first, second, and third varsity fours to top five finishes at the Big Ten Championships with a bronze medal finish in the second varsity four. At the NCAA Championships, Clifford coached the Varsity Four to a 17th place finish nationally. Clifford rowed at IU for two seasons from 2014-2016, helping the Hoosiers reach the NCAA Championships in both seasons. She then served as a student assistant coach for IU during the 2016-17 season, working with the novice and third varsity four while finishing her degree in United States history with a minor in psychology.
