BEFORE BLOOMINGTON Vereen, a native of Sioux City, Iowa, spent five years as an Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Drake University Sports Medicine Staff. While with the Bulldogs, he spent three seasons in charge of the healthcare of the men’s basketball and cheer programs, as well as two years with the women’s soccer and softball programs. While with the Bulldogs, he was a part of three straight Missouri Valley Conference Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances. He spent the 2016-20 seasons as an Assistant Athletic Trainer with the University of Kansas football program, one season as an intern, and three seasons as a full-time staff member. He also earned his master’s in business administration from the University of Kansas as well.
