Dartmouth College Mixed Sailing

Rebecca McElvain '19 was hired as an assistant coach, returning to her alma mater for the 2020-21 season. McElvain served as an assistant coach through the 2024-25 season and was elevated to interim head coach at the end of the season. She will remain in the interim head coach role through 2025-26, her sixth season on staff. McElvain led the Big Green as captain as a senior and was named an All-American Crew in each of her last two seasons while receiving honorable mention as a freshman. She was also All-NEISA Crew First Team twice and Second Team in her first two years. Prior to Dartmouth, she was a seven-time national champion at the high school level in various types of boats and was named the 2015 San Diego Area Yacht Clubs Woman Sailor of the Year. She has also served as a sailing instructor at the San Diego Yacht Club off and on since 2014. During her second season as a part of the coaching staff, the Big Green placed fourth overall at the Open Fleet Race National Championship, their best finish since 2019, the team that McElvain was on. The Big Green continued their success on the national stage the following season, placing third overall at the Women's and Open Fleet Race National Championship. McElvain had two sailors, Maddie Hawkins and Reese Bragg, win the A Division in the Women's National Championship.

Cam Patria joined Dartmouth in 2019, working with men's lacrosse and sailing teams. He earned his bachelor's degree from UNH before earning an MEd from Penn State. Outside of work, Cam likes to ski during the winter and spend time with his wife and daughter.

Kincade joins Dartmouth after a distinguished tenure with Brown University Athletics, where she most recently served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since June of 2023. During her time at Brown, she played a pivotal role in managing the business operations for one of the Ivy League's largest athletics programs. Over the past three years, Kincade spearheaded numerous strategic initiatives within Brown's business office, including implementing zero-based budgeting, and the comprehensive oversight of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting. Her collaborative approach helped streamline financial processes across 34 varsity sports and additional recreational units, ensuring a transparent and efficient resource management system. In her new role at Dartmouth, Kincade will oversee all financial functions within the department, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and long-term fiscal planning. Throughout her career, Kincade has demonstrated a commitment to fiscal responsibility and operational excellence. At Brown, she was responsible for overseeing the processing and reporting of all financial transactions, developing and managing the annual operating budget, and compiling the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) and NCAA reports. She served as a sport administrator for multiple teams, including men's and women's swimming and diving, field hockey, men's and women's tennis, and sailing.
