Assistant Coach
Byron Pool joined the Big Green on June 5, 2024 as an assistant coach. He comes to Hanover following three years as an associate head coach at Northern Michigan. Pool enters his second season on the bench for the Big Green in 2025-26. In Pool's first two seasons with the Wildcats, he helped the team earn back-to-back 20-win seasons, the first time it has been done in over a decade. The Wildcats also reached the WHCA Semifinals in both of his first two seasons. Under Pool, Northern Michigan has had two All-Americans, four WHCA position of the year honorees, and one player of the year. Prior to his three year stint at Northern Michigan, Pool was on the coaching staff of the Fargo Force (USHL), serving as an assistant coach before earning the associate head coach title before the 2014-15 season. During his seven years in Fargo, the Force competed in the Clark Cup playoffs four times and were named the USHL's organization of the year. Pool also coached the Bismarck Bobcats (NAHL) for two seasons. No stranger to ECAC Hockey competition, Pool played collegiate hockey at Colgate, suiting up on defense for 76 games. Following his graduation with a history degree in 2000, Pool spent four years playing professional hockey for the Corpus Christi IceRays and the Indianapolis Ice.

He comes to Dartmouth as part of the restructuring of Dartmouth's external areas to focus on revenue generation, strategic content and brand management. His most recent post was with the University of Arizona, where he began in 2017 and led the comprehensive ticket sales and service campaigns for the Wildcats' nine ticketed athletic programs. Celona oversaw all traditional and digital marketing campaigns as well as 19 full-time staff in the day-to-day operations over four athletic department units, plus was responsible for the department's multimedia rights and contract negotiations. Prior to his stint at Arizona, from 2011 to 2017, Celona reimagined department-wide ticket operations and customer service initiatives as well as developed the departments ticket operation's comprehensive road map for 11 ticketed sports at the University of California Berkeley. Celona is from Yonkers, New York, and began his career at UMass where he received his bachelor's degree in sport management in 2010. He is joined in the Upper Valley by his wife, Michelle, and children, Aiden, Skylar, and Laney.

Associate Head Coach
Jason Tapp joined the Dartmouth men’s hockey staff as the associate head coach in July of 2020, joining Koenig Family Head Coach Reid Cashman’s first staff. He will work with the men's team for the fifth season in 2025-26. Tapp came to Hanover after 11 seasons at Union where he helped elevate the Dutchmen to a national power that included three ECAC Hockey postseason titles (2012, ’13 and ’14) and the 2014 Division I National Championship. He began his tenure in Schenectady as the goaltending coach for two seasons under Nate Leaman before being hired as a full-time assistant following Rick Bennett’s promotion to head coach in 2011. The British Columbia native was then promoted to Union’s associate head coach in 2016. He has been instrumental in the program’s recruiting of top-tier talent that took the program to the height of college hockey. Under his guidance, Union has produced three ECAC Hockey Goaltenders of the Year, two Best Defensive Defenseman and ranked first (2011-12), fourth (2013-14) and seventh (2012-13) nationally in scoring defense. Tapp has worked with numerous players in Schenectady who would go on to take their game to the NHL, including Troy Grosenick, Keith Kinkaid, Jeff Taylor and Shayne Gostisbehere. He has also helped groom and develop five All-Americans on either defense (Mat Bodie and Gostisbehere) or in goal (Grosenick, Kinkaid and Colin Stevens) as well as a pair of Hobey Baker Finalists (Grosenick and Gostisbehere). Tapp played four seasons at Bost
