Biography
Joshua Walker joined Ryan McGuyre's staff in the spring of 2022, officially being named assistant coach on March 10. He was promoted to Associate Head Coach in February of 2023. He played an integral role in Baylor's success during the 2025 season, helping guide the Bears to their 10th-straight NCAA Tournament appearance, a streak tied for the 11th-longest active run nationally and second-best in the Big 12. Walker was instrumental in helping BU up its national ranking streak that reached 121 consecutive weeks in the AVCA Top-25. He helped mentor one of the nation's top freshman classes, highlighted by Morgan Madison shattering Baylor's freshman digs record with 396 and Ksenia Rakhmanchik producing 367 kills, the second-most ever by a freshman in program history. Walker also assisted in coaching Rakhmanchik, Madison and Bailey Warren to All-Big 12 Rookie Team honors, as the trio combined for eight weekly Big 12 awards, the most in the conference.
