Jorge Peñate joined Baylor Volleyball in July of 2023 as an assistant coach. As Baylor's recruiting coordinator, he played a pivotal role in Baylor's continued rise during the 2025 season, both on the court and on the recruiting trail. As Baylor's recruiting coordinator, Peñate helped secure a top-10 national recruiting class in 2025, ranked No. 9 by PrepDig.com, continuing the program's momentum as one of the nation's premier destinations for elite talent. On the floor, he assisted in Baylor's 10th-straight NCAA Tournament appearance and helped extend the Bears' national ranking streak to 121 consecutive weeks, eighth-best in the country. Peñate played a key role in the development of Baylor's current roster, highlighted by freshman Ksenia Rakhmanchik's 367 kills, the second-most by a freshman in program history, and her AVCA First Team All-Region selection.
