Reinstetle led the Rockets to a MAC Tournament championship game appearance in 2025, defeating Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Ball State and Kent State in the tournament. Toledo won a program-record four games in the MAC Tournament, including three when facing elimination. The championship game appearance was the team’s third-ever and first since 2009. The 2025 Rockets compiled a 32-29 overall record with a fifth-place, 17-13 conference mark. Toledo ended the regular season with a sprint, going 12-3 over the last 15 MAC contests, and winning five-straight MAC series for the first time since 2015. This was the second time Toledo had 30 or more wins in Reinstetle’s tenure. Associate Athletic Director of Olympic Sports Operations
Carrie Schonter-Cherry has served as the director of operations-Olympic sports and business administrator at The University of Toledo since 2015. Prior to her appointment in the Athletic Department, Schonter-Cherry served in a variety of finance positions at UToledo from 2005-11. She left Toledo to become a purchasing card coordinator at the University of Michigan from 2011-12, and then moved on Owens Community College to serve as the Upward Bound specialist from 2012-15 before returning to the Glass City to work for the Rockets. A native of Erie, Mich., Schonter-Cherry graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1998 with a bachelor of science in telecommunications and film. She earned her masters in education from The University of Toledo in 2008. Schonter-Cherry and her husband Roy are proud owners of two Corgis named Sonny and Reacher.

Asst. Strength & Conditioning Coach
Holden Tincher is in his second year as an assistant strength & conditioning coach for the Olympic sports teams at the University of Toledo, after joining the staff full time in August of 2022. Tincher served UT's strength & conditioning intern during the 2019 fall semester, before taking the role as Bedford High School's Strength and Conditioning Coach from 2020-22. He then served as the Strength & Conditioning Coach at St. John's Jesuit High School while working part-time with the Rockets during the 2022-23 season. A native of Temperance, Mich., Tincher received his bachelor of science degree in exercise science, with a concentration in health, performance, and fitness promotion from the University of Toledo in 2019, and earned his master's degree in recreation administration-recreational and leisure studies from Toledo in 2021. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Tincher and his wife, Shelby, reside in Toledo.

Assistant Baseball Coach
Pat Cottrell was hired onto the coaching staff in January 2025. Cottrell joins the Rockets with nearly 15 years of collegiate coaching experience across several levels. At Toledo, he will be the team's primary hitting coach and the co-recruiting coordinator. Most recently, Cottrell spent three seasons at UT Martin, where he served at the program's hitting coach, worked with the infielders and outfielders and was the recruiting coordinator. Cottrell helped the Skyhawks' offense flourish, especially in 2023, where UT Martin led the league in batting average (.329), on-base percentage (.429), runs scored (191), RBIs (175) and doubles (63) in conference games. The Skyhawks went 14-10 (.583) in the Ohio Valley Conference that season, the most conference wins and highest conference winning percentage in program history. While at UT Martin, Cottrell coached six All-OVC picks, including first-team selection Andrew Fernandez as wellas five second-team picks in 2023. Caleb Hobson, who earned second-team all-conference in 2023, was drafted in the 13th round of the 2023 MLB Draft by the Colorado Rockies to become the highest draft pick in program history. Before UT Martin, Cottrell was the head assistant baseball coach at Pensacola State College (2016-20), the University of South Carolina – Beaufort (2014-16) and Alabama Southern Community College (2011-14).
