Kevin Corrigan is entering his 38th season on the Fighting Irish sideline in 2025-26 and is the longest active tenured coach in men's lacrosse at the Division I level. Since his arrival on campus in 1988, Corrigan has built Notre Dame into one of the premier men's lacrosse programs in the country, delivering the Irish back-to-back national titles, their first two in program history in 2023 and 2024. He boasts a 360-165 (.686) record during his impressive Notre Dame tenure. Corrigan coached one of the greatest teams in lacrosse history during the 2024 season, as the team won the program's second national championship and finished the campaign with a record of 16-1. The Fighting Irish won the ACC regular season and ACC Tournament titles en route to the NCAA championship. Notre Dame not only won games but dominated, as all four NCAA Championship games were decided by five goals or more, culminating in a 15-5 victory over No. 7 Maryland in the title matchup at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Monday, May 27. Following the title, Fighting Irish attackman Pat Kavanagh became the first player in program history to win the Tewaaraton Award. His most successful season at Harvard came in 2014 when the Crimson won the program's first Ivy League championship in 24 years and earned an NCAA tournament berth. As a two-sport standout with Harvard, Wojcik earned lacrosse All-America honors in 1996 and served as captain of the soccer team. He graduated from Harvard with a degree in economics and earned a master's degree in secondary education from Boston College in 2007.

The Irish also captured the 2024 ACC regular season and tournament titles en route to the national championship. Notre Dame has garnered 17 All-America honors, four of which were first team citations, since Wellner's arrival despite none being handed out during the 2020 season due to COVID. Following the 2023 season, Wellner was named the DI Assistant Coach of the Year by USA Lacrosse. The Irish allowed just 9.69 goals per game, the best mark in the ACC, despite playing the country's best attacks on a weekly basis. Notre Dame's defense was somehow even better during the 2024 season, leading the country in scoring defense, allowing an average of 8.94 goals per game.
