Head Coach- Alpine
Brian Blank ‘95 is in his 18th season as UNH alpine head coach in 2024-25. Brian has over 20 years of alpine ski coaching experience. He lettered on the UNH ski team from 1991-95 and served as team captain in 1994-95. During his career, 29 times a Wildcat has earned All-America accolades. In 2025, Blank guided a talented alpine unit that sent the full six student-athletes to the NCAA Championships, part of a program total of 11 competitors. He was named USCSCA National Coach of the Year following the team's performance. Under his leadership, freshman Jayden Buckrell became just the third individual national champion in program history by winning the NCAA men's slalom national championship with a time of 1:27.17. The victory earned him First Team All-America honors and led the Wildcats to a third-place team finish in the event. Freshman Dasha Romanov earned Second Team All-America recognition with a seventh-place finish in the giant slalom. The 2022 season saw two more All-Americans for the Wildcats as Bastian Meisen was a First Team All-American in the giant slalom with a fifth-place finish in the NCAAs and Zoe Michael was a Second Team All-American with a 10th-place finish in the slalom. UNH hosted the NCAAs in 2021 for the sixth time in program history. Will Bruneau-Bouchard of the alpine team earned All-American Second Team in slalom (8th place), and the Wildcats finished ninth overall. In 2020, the ’Cats finished ninth in NCAAs at Montana State. The 2021-22 season represents Cory Schwartz's 40th year coaching the Nordic program and 35th year as the ski coordinator at UNH. During his tenure, Schwartz has led the Wildcats to 28 Top-10 NCAA placements, including ninth place most recently at the 2021 NCAA Championships, hosted by UNH. Schwartz has mentored 41 student-athletes to a total of 56 All-America Team selections. Included in that number are 20 Nordic skiers compiling 15 All-America team honors. On Oct. 3, 2015, Howie Bean ’78, Paul Berton, Byron “Buzz” Davis ’75, Nathaniel ’81 and Marianne Lucy ’83 and Josiah Miles ’87 collaborated to establish the Cory L. Schwartz ’82 Ski Team Endowment in honor of Schwartz. In 2014, Schwartz was awarded the Profile of Service Award by the UNH Alumni Association for his outstanding performance on behalf of the Alumni Association or the University. Schwartz was named Coach of the Year by the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) in 1985, ’86, 2002, ’03, and ’15. UNH hosted the NCAAs in 2021 for the sixth time in program history. Will Bruneau-Bouchard of the alpine team earned All-American Second Team in slalom (8th place), and the Wildcats finished ninth overall. In 2020, the ’Cats finished ninth in NCAAs at Montana State. The Championships were cut off following two days -midway through the scheduled four-day event-- at Crosscut Mountain Sports Center when the NCAA cancelled all remaining winter and spring championships due to the evolving COVID-19 public health threat.

Assistant Coach- Nordic
Stephen Monsulick, a Readfield, Maine, native and 2007 graduate of Bates College, is in his 12th season as the Nordic assistant coach in 2019-20. The Wildcats’ Nordic ski team has recorded Top-10 finishes at the NCAA Championships in seven of his first 10 seasons on the staff, including 2017 with a ninth-place showing at NCAAs, hosted by UNH at Jackson Ski Touring Center. Monsulick assists head coach Cory Schwartz in day-to-day operations of the program, with an emphasis on training, recruiting and scheduling. Stephen was a member of the Bates varsity ski team and captain for the 2007 season. He was a two-time NCAA qualifier for cross-country running. Before coming to UNH, Monsulick spent the 2008 season as the assistant Nordic ski coach at his alma mater.
