Lisa Mann enters her third season as the UAB women’s soccer head coach in the 2025 season. For Mann’s second season with the Blazers, she had a 7-5-5 overall record and a 4-2-4 conference record. She claimed her first SEC win when UAB shutout Ole Miss 1-0. Mann guided the team to go undefeated at home for the first time in program history. This past season she helped guided four players to earn several conference honors. Abbey Burns was selected to the AAC All-Conference First Team, earned AAC Offensive Player of the Week, and Honorable Mention. Freshman Louise Larson was named to the AAC All-Freshman Team, while Jette Zimmer earned a spot on the AAC All-Conference Second Team and claimed an Honorable Mention. Anika Toth claimed Goalkeeper of the Week and Honorable Mention twice. In 2023, Mann’s first season, she guided UAB to a 6-7-5 overall record and was 2-3-4 in conference play, which was the first season the Blazers were in the American Athletic Conference. Mann guided Asha Zuniga to AAC Second Team and Abby Graeser AAC All-Rookie Team. She also helped developed Eve Beyer and Toth to AAC Goalkeeper of the week, while Avery Berryman earned AAC Rookie of the Week and Carlyn Presley was named to the AAC Honor Roll. Mann helped lead Zuniga to play professionally with Knattspyrnudeild HK (Iceland) after she graduated from UAB, along with Toth who signed with Halifax Tides FC. Mann arrives in the Magic City after spending the last four seasons as the head coach at West Virgini

Prior to Costa’s time with the Islanders, he spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Shippensburg University. Before taking the job at Shippensburg, Costa served as an assistant with the Tupelo Futbol Club where he coached U15 girls and U14 boys while working under head coach Jorge Alvarez.
