Associate Head Coach
Danny Yoshikawa joined the Oregon State staff in the role of associate head coach in the spring of 2026. Yoshikawa joined the Beavers after six seasons at West Valley College, his second stint with the community college powerhouse located in the Bay Area. During that six-season span, the Vikings posted a record of 155-31, including an impressive mark of 138-20 over the last five campaigns. West Valley never finished with fewer than 26 wins over that period, including a perfect 33-0 mark in 2023-24, culminating in a California Community College Athletic Association championship. Yoshikawa is the fifth coach in CCAA history to take his team to an undefeated season and a state championship in the same campaign. Under his guidance, West Valley was the only team to reach the California State Championship Elite Eight in five-straight seasons. With Yoshikawa at the helm, the Vikings made the State Championship Game twice, and 27 players received scholarships to play at four-year NCAA institutions over his six seasons. Before returning to West Valley, Yoshikawa was an assistant coach at Saint Mary's. In his last season in Moraga, the Gaels knocked off nationally No. 1-ranked Gonzaga in the 2019 West Coast Conference tournament, claiming the WCC title and a berth in the NCAA tournament. In his four years with the Gaels, the team won more games than at any previous four-year period in the program’s storied history. Yoshikawa helped the Gaels to a WCC championship and sweep of Gonzaga i

Associate Head Coach
Michael Plank joined the Oregon State staff in the role of associate head coach in the spring of 2026. Plank came to Oregon State after five seasons as an assistant coach at San Francisco. The Dons went 109-61 with Plank on staff, including four consecutive 20-win seasons. USF’s 24 wins in 2021-22, 23 wins in 2023-24 and 25 wins in 2024-25 marked the program’s three highest win totals since the 1981-82 campaign. The Dons made an NCAA Tournament appearance in Plank’s first year as an assistant coach, and made a pair of NIT appearances, including as the tournament’s No. 1 seed in 2024-25. Working alongside head coach Chris Gerlufson, Plank and the Dons staff amassed 85 wins in their first four seasons – giving Gerlufson the most wins by a head coach through his first four years in program history. Plank coached 13 All-WCC selections during his time with the Dons. San Francisco led the nation in 3-point defense in 2024-25, and the season prior the Dons recorded marquee victories over Vanderbilt and Minnesota. On the recruiting front, Plank served as a central figure with deep West Coast connections, helping bring together San Francisco's 2023 recruiting class ranked 25th nationally in overall transfer activity (via EvanMiya.com). Plank has spent time at virtually every level of basketball, from grassroots circuits to the NBA. Before San Francisco, Plank spent two seasons as the recruiting coordinator at Washington State for head coach Kyle Smith. There, he helped recruit three p
