Assistant Coach
Ian Barrows enters his first season as an assistant coach on Conner Blouin's staff. Barrows earned bronze in the men's skiff event at the 2024 Paris Olympics, entering the Summer Games ranked second in the world with partner Hans Henken after the duo finished in second place at the 2022 Princesa Sofia World Sailing World Cup. He finished second in the 2020 United States Olympic Trials to narrowly miss qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics. "We are so excited to have Ian join our staff," said Blouin. "His numerous accomplishments speak for themselves, and we are excited to add his expertise and pedigree to our staff." Barrows graduated from Yale in 2017 after a decorated career where he was named the 2017 College Sailor of the Year, a four-time collegiate All-American and a member of five national championships with the Bulldogs. Barrows won his College Sailor of the Year honor in Charleson. Barrows hails from St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, where he acquired his passion for sailing and began competing internationally at a young age. His youth sailing career was full of achievements, highlighted by a gold medal at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. He won multiple national titles including the 2014 and 2015 FJ and 420 National Championships, and 2014, 2015, 2016 420 and FJ Team Racing National Championships. He also received second place finishes in the 2010 Byte World Championship and the 2008 Opti World Championship.

Ken Morey
Ken Morey enters his second year as the Associate Director of Communications and Creative Content at the College of Charleston. Morey is responsible for the communication and creative efforts for the Cougars' baseball, volleyball, sailing and equestrian programs. In his first year at CofC, Morey helped promote 2025 MLB draft pick Jake Brink and CSC Academic All-American Caitlyn Callahan. Prior to his arrival in Charleston, Morey had a ten month stint at Syracuse University, where he worked with the 2023 national champion men's soccer team and the Orange's softball program. While with Syracuse, Morey aided in the promotion of Jeorgio Kocevski, who was named the program's first ACC Midfielder of the Year, in addition to being drafted in the first round of the 2024 Major League Soccer SuperDraft. Morey also successfully publicized a second draft pick, three signees and a CSC Academic All-American. Morey spent two years as a graduate assistant at Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y., where he worked with baseball, softball, men's and women's soccer and swimming and diving. During his tenure, he also helped with overseeing all graphic design and social media efforts within the department. Morey was the contact when the softball program won back-to-back regular season championships, including the 2022 conference title. Mike Martino
Mike Martino is entering his third full year as an Assistant Sports Performance Coach at The College of Charleston working with softball, men's golf, women's Golf, beach volleyball, sailing, and equestrian. Prior to College of Charleston, Martino made coaching stops at Charleston Southern, Adelphi University, Siena College, and Penn State University. Outside of CofC Athletics, Martino trained Court Tennis World Champion Camden Riviere for his 2025 championship title run. He is also an active member of the CrossFit community, coaching 2 teams and several individuals to the CrossFit Games over the last decade. In 2018 he took part in a 2-year case study with Titleist Performance Institute on the effect of differing training modalities on golf performance and longevity. A former baseball player, he earned his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from SUNY Cortland and his master's in physical education from Brooklyn College.
