Chris Rotzenberg was named head track & field coach in July 2012 after finishing five years as the Pioneers Assistant Cross Country and Track and Field Coach. 

Andres Young is entering his twelfth year at UW-Platteville and third as Associate Head Coach. Young serves as the pole vault, hurdles, javelin, and multi coach for the Pioneers. During his eleven year tenure, Young has led 41 individual event national qualifiers who have earned 1 National Championship and 21 All-American honors. Young's athletes have also won 24 Conference Championships, earned 43 All-Conference performances, and set school records in 63 different occasions. In 2023, Young coached his first national champion, Will Lawrence in the Javelin. Lawrence's winning throw of 72.14m (236-8) was the 5th furthest throw in Division 3 history. Young was awarded Midwest Regional Coach of the Year Honors for his athlete's performance during the 2016 outdoor season. A USATF Level 1, USTFCCA certified coach, Young began his coaching career at UW-Platteville in 2006 and 2007. He later served as an assistant track and field coach at Alhambra High School in Phoenix, Arizona, before returning to pursue a master's degree at Northern Illinois University in kinesiology. A native of Miami, Florida, Young attended UW-Platteville where he was a member of the track and field and cross country teams, running the 400 meters and competing in the decathlon. He received his degree from UW-Platteville in 2005, majoring in biology with a minor in Spanish.

Schneider began his coaching career in 1984 as a cross country coach for Boscobel High School, where he coached three back-to-back individual State Champions. From 2000 to 2003 Schneider rejoined the Boscobel cross country team, assisting in the team in 3 state team champions. In 2004, Schneider was brought over to the Boscobel track and field program to be the sprints and horizontal jumps coach. As track and field coach for Boscobel, Schneider coached multiple sprint and horizontal jump athletes to state, and the only girls SWAL Conference championship in school history. In 2007, Schneider resigned his position as track & field coach to follow the UW-Platteville team and mentored under Coach Bryan Marx. In 2011, Schneider was asked to join the UW-Platteville coaching staff as the horizontal jumps coach. Since joining the UW-Platteville's Track & Field program, the Pioneers have had jumpers qualify to 5 NCAA national meets, acquiring 15 All-American titles including the 2016 indoor triple jump national champion and the 2017 outdoor long jump champion. Also under Schneider, the Pioneers have had multiple long and triple jumpers place at the WIAC Conference Championships, including 12 WIAC individual event champions, 2 WIAC Championship records, and 29 athletes placing in the Top 8. In addition, he has helped jumpers achieve 5 school records and 3 facility records. Currently, Schneider has 19 jumpers on the outdoor Top 10 All-Time List and 18 jumpers on the indoor Top 10 All-Ti

Steve "Spider" Fromader has been coaching high jump at UW-Platteville since 1998. He began his track and field coaching career back in 1978, coaching high jumpers at Lancaster Junior High. Since that time he has coached at Lancaster High School and Platteville High School in not only Track and Field, but Cross Country as well. During that period of time, "Spider" has had the opportunity to work with and learn from many talented student-athletes. All of his athletes have achieved success in their own way. During his coaching career he has coached numerous high school conference, regional and sectional champions, state qualifiers, a state champion, WIAC conference champions, NCAA Division III national qualifiers and All-Americans. Three of his athletes are UW-Platteville record holders (Carrie Morschuaser at 5'7" (Outdoor), Noah Steiner at 6'10 ¾" (Outdoor), Noah Steiner at 6'10 ¼" (Indoor), and Alyssa Iserman 5'7" (Indoor). Fromader is a guest clinician at many Track and Field Clinics. He takes a slow as you go approach when working with his athletes: breaking down the high jump into different phases, working to the strengths of each athlete, and making sure they are developing to the best of their abilities. He is Level I certified by USA Track and Field. Fromader is a retired fourth grade teacher from the Lancaster Community Schools and resides in Platteville.
