Biography

Joe Ludwig joined the Badgers as the Assistant Tight Ends Coach in January 2025 after spending time at Baylor as a quality control coach. Before beginning his coaching career, Ludwig played collegiate football at Iowa and Utah. Ludwig played in eight games during his time at Iowa from 2017-19 before playing in 14 games at fullback and tight end across two seasons at Utah (2020-21). Ludwig attended Middleton High School and is the son of Andy Ludwig, who was the Badgers’ Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach from 2013-14.
