Josh Shoemaker is in his fifth year in the USC Athletic Department and his fourth (2026) as the Director of Operations for USC lacrosse. Shoemaker "Shoe" first joined the Trojans’ staff in 2021 as an assistant director of equipment operations in charge of lacrosse, soccer, and both the men’s and women’s golf programs. Shoemaker moved into his position as lacrosse director of operations in the summer of 2022 and was a member of the staff when the Trojans won the 2023 Pac-12 Championship and secured a berth in the NCAA tournament. In his role, Shoemaker manages all aspects of the program’s operations including budget and Nike apparel allotment. He coordinates team travel, including flights, hotels, and ground transportation, and assists with alumni relations. In his career, Shoemaker has collected more than 13 years of collegiate and professional experience in equipment management, operations, and logistics. Before arriving in Los Angeles, Shoemaker supported all 22 sports as Director of Equipment Operations at East Stroudsburg University in 2021. Shoemaker also served as an equipment coordinator for the UFC in Las Vegas (2017-20). He got his start as a student football equipment manager (2014-15) and was later promoted to assistant football equipment manager (2015-17) at Incarnate Word. Shoemaker graduated from San Antonio College with an Associate of Arts degree in liberal arts and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in sports management from Incarnate Word in 2015.

Women's Tennis Assistant Coach
Petros Alex, who most recently served as an assistant coach at Utah State, was named USC's assistant coach on Dec. 19, 2025. He enters his first season with the Women of Troy. A native of Crete, Greece, Alex comes to Troy after spending the 2024-25 season at Utah State, where he helped the Aggies to a 15-9 record. Alex spent the 2023–24 season as an assistant coach at Oregon, where he helped guide the Ducks to a 15-13 overall record and a sixth-place finish in the Pac-12 - the program's best performance in six years. Prior to his time in Eugene, Alex worked for several years as a private coach for top-ranked junior players and served as assistant director of North Oaks Tennis in Minneapolis, Minn. A former Division I student-athlete, Alex played collegiately at North Dakota. He was a four-time ITA Academic Team selection (2019–23), earned AD Honor Roll honors each season and was named to the President's List in 2021. He also helped lead the program to its best season in school history and served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for three years. Alex graduated with honors from the University of North Dakota in 2023. Alex began his coaching career as assistant director of tennis at the North Oaks Recreation Center in North Oaks, Minn., where he instructed more than 30 high school varsity athletes and worked as a travel coach. While at SJSU, Whitney oversaw various aspects of Compliance including Athletic Financial Aid and the National Letter of Intent program.
