Head Baseball Coach
Keith Gorman was announced as the Head Baseball Coach at USCA on May 28, 2025. With over 21 years of experience, Gorman sports a record of 468-207 (.693). At Barton College, he produced a 152-116 (.567) record. Before coaching the Bulldogs, Gorman spent eight years at Cumberland County College, building a powerhouse program that went 316-91 (.776). Gorman comes to USCA after three consecutive 30-plus win seasons at Barton. Under his guidance, the Bulldogs shattered the school record for wins (34 in 2024) and posted the highest three-year and two-year win totals in the program's history. In 2024, his program started 11-0 and garnered the longest winning streak in program history. The team was ranked in the top 10 in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region poll for all 15 weeks. While at Cumberland, Gorman guided the program to the 2019 NJCAA Division III National Championship and was named the National Coach of the Year. His 2017 team finished 55-8, establishing an all-time record for any college in New Jersey. He led his squad to three trips to the World Series during his eight years at Cumberland. Gorman coached six players who eventually landed professional contracts and 17 players who signed with NCAA Division I institutions. Gorman also worked at Holy Spirit (N.J.) Assistant Baseball Coach
Davin Conway is in his first season as an assistant coach at USCA where he will be the pitching coach while assisting in other key areas of the program. Conway, in his third collegiate season as a pitching coach, spent the first two years with Barton College. The Sarcoxie, Mo. native began his college playing career in 2017 at Knox College in Galesburg, Ill. as an outfielder and pitcher. During his time there, he earned the team voted upon award of Most Improved Player in 2018, was named a team captain for the 2021 season, and earned Midwest Conference all-academic honors all four years. Conway walked on to the football team in 2019, where he served as a special teams player and defensive back for the Prairie Fire. Conway graduated with a degree in political science and a minor in education policy. Following his graduation, Conway attended Cabrini University in Radnor, Pa., where he earned his master's in science of organizational leadership. Conway was a relief pitcher and veteran presence for the Cabrini Diamond Cavs. In his first season at Barton College, the program fielded one of the top pitching staffs in the country ending the season with a 2.54 K:BB ratio (11th in D-II), a 1.35 WHIP (13th in D-II), and a 4.29 team ERA (19th in D-II). Assistant Baseball Coach
Riley Nelson is in his first year as an assistant coach at USCA. He arrives after being the interim head coach and recruiting coordinator at Spartanburg Methodist College, where he worked under legendary head coach Tim Wallace. During his time at SMC, he worked with 35 Division I transfers and guided the program to as high as No. 17 in NJCAA DI. His teams improved offensively every season, sporting a .346 batting average and a .975 OPS during his third year. Nelson worked with more than 25 first-team all-conference performers. He also served as hitting coach in the Appalachian League during summers 2024-2025, helping lead the Danville Otterbots to a league championship in 2024. His coaching experience includes time as Recruiting Coordinator at Lamar Community College and Assistant Coach at Guilford Tech Community College, where he helped guide the program to a top-15 NJCAA DII ranking. Since coaching, 10 of his student-athletes have signed MLB contracts. Nelson earned his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Mayville State University in 2019.
