Jeremiah Estes

Biography

Jeremiah (Jeri) Estes joined the Lobo Volleyball Coaching Staff in February of 2026. Internationally, Estes is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished coaches in the sport, having helped lead championship programs in three different countries. His global résumé includes two Swiss League national championships as head coach at Volero Zurich (2005, 2006), an NCAA National Championship at Long Beach State as part of the first undefeated title team in NCAA history, and multiple European Champions League titles during his tenure with Uralochka in Russia—one of the most successful professional volleyball clubs in the world. Estes has also coached or advised USA Volleyball’s National and Olympic Teams, Russia’s National and Olympic Teams, and numerous professional clubs across Europe and Asia, with international accolades that include a Gold Medal with the USA Men’s National Team at the 2023 Pan American Games, a silver medal at the Athens Olympic Games with Russia, and multiple FIVB World Grand Prix gold medals. Estes’ footprint extends to the international club volleyball scene as well – he has served as head coach for Volero Zurich (Switzerland), Azeryol Baku (Azerbaijan), Dinamo Moscow (Russia) and Tianjin (China) among others. While at Volero Zurich, he led the club to back-to-back Swiss League championships, Swiss Cup titles, and a remarkable 74-match winning streak.
