Head Women's Lacrosse Coach
Bridget Lawless was named as the fifth head coach in the history of the women's lacrosse program just prior to the 2022 season. The Nor'easters have steadily improved their conference record each year, going from 3-5 in 2022 to 5-3-1 in 2025. UNE reached the league semifinals in 2024. Lawless came to Biddeford following one very abbreviated season (2021) as head coach at the University of Maine-Farmington [NCAA III], where she guided the Beavers to a 2-2 mark. Before UMF, she was a full-time assistant coach for two years (2019-20) with Washington & Jefferson College [NCAA III] in Pennsylvania, helping the Presidents to a .857 conference win rate and an appearance in the league final in 2019. The 2020 season was cut short. Lawless has also been the head girls coach of Coastal Lacrosse Club in Massachusetts since 2017. Lawless graduated from Salem State University in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in sport and movement science. She played three seasons (2016-18) and was a captain for the Vikings [NCAA III], totaling 34 goals and 17 assists over 50 games played. The Swampscott, Mass. native then earned a master's degree in sports leadership from Endicott College in 2020.

Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach
Stowell was a regular starter at attacking midfield for the Nor'easters across six seasons (2017-22), which included two years that were pandemic-shortened to a combined six games. Over 71 contests (the most by any player in the history of the program), she totaled 143 points (8th) with 120 goals (5th) and 23 assists, collected 115 ground balls and 99 draw controls, and caused 50 turnovers. As a graduate student and full-time preschool teacher in nearby Kennebunk, Stowell led the 2022 squad in goals, draws, and caused turnovers. She also recorded a career-best six goals once, and netted a second All-CCC 3rd Team selection for the season's efforts. Stowell graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, and finished her master's of education degree in 2022.
