Kevin Swallow took over the UNE men's ice hockey program ahead of the 2015-16 season and made each of his first four years the best in program history. He already owns a 171-63-21 record guiding the Nor'easters, who have been nationally-ranked for 103 out of 119 weeks since the middle of 2017-18 and boast a 29-28-6 ledger versus other top 15 teams. The 2021-22 campaign was the best in University history, as UNE rode a program-record 13-game winning streak into the national semifinals. The Nor'easters finished with a program-record 23-4-1 mark overall and were voted 5th in the last poll of the year. Swallow received his first CCC Coach of the Year honor, earned the New England Hockey Writers Association Coach of the Year, and was runner-up for the American Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Coach of the Year. Over 13 total seasons as a head coach, Swallow's teams have achieved a 226-83-28 record (.716). He came to Biddeford following three years as head coach at Nichols College, where the program logged a 55-20-7 record and two postseason championships. Swallow's four-year collegiate playing career was split between Dartmouth College and University of Maine. He had 11 goals and 31 points in 59 games with Dartmouth, and in 62 contests with Maine, totaled three goals and 14 points and played on one squad that reached the Hockey East finals. A native of the Detroit area, Morrison serves as the full-time assistant coach for the men's ice hockey program. Morrison was part of the Muskegon Lumberjacks' coaching staff for three seasons, helping lead them to the United States Hockey League (USHL) Clark Cup in 2025. While working for Muskegon, Morrison helped develop multiple NHL first-round draft picks. Morrison played junior hockey for the Rio Grande Killer Bees of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), as well as the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL. He went on to play at Nichols College, seeing action in 43 games over his four-year career and serving as an alternate captain his senior year. The Bison won the 2018 Commonwealth Coast Conference title before advancing to the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing.

Church has been the Director of Hockey Operations for the Maine Wild junior programs since 2016. From 2014-16, he was Chief Operating Officer for the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League (AHL), and, when the Pirates' franchise was sold and relocated, Church was first to push for Portland to gain an ECHL team. Before serving as vice president of Legacy Global Sports and its junior hockey programs from 2014-16, he was the General Manager of the Maine Hockey Group from 2010-12, which included coaching the Portland Junior Pirates. In 2006-07, Church was a midseason replacement as head coach of the Phoenix Roadrunners in the ECHL, and stayed in the role for the next two seasons (2007-09). Church was drafted 17th overall in the 1995 NHL Draft by the Washington Capitals and played two games during the 1997-98 season. He started playing professionally in 1996-97 with the Portland Pirates, and, over the course of 10 years, appeared in 548 games between the AHL and ECHL levels. With the Pirates from 1996 through 2002, he played 281 regular season games and totaled 40 goals with 64 assists and was a two-year alternate captain. Church was inducted into the Pirates' Hall of Fame in 2012.
