During the 2025-26 season, Michael Scruggs helped guide the Tigers to a 17-17 overall record and a 4-12 mark in Southeastern Conference play. Mizzou ranked 16th overall and first in the SEC in free-throw percentage at a 77.9% mark. Additionally, the Tigers sat in 30th nationally and fourth in the SEC in 3-pointers made, averaging 8.5 per game. Scruggs worked on the development of Grace Slaughter, who led the Tigers in scoring with 18.6 points per game and eclipsed the 1,000 point mark during the season. She is sixth in the SEC in scoring. Slaughter was named to the Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year preseason and midseason watchlist. She was also named to the 2025-26 All-SEC second team. With a focus on post player development, Scruggs worked closely with Jordana Reisma and Slaughter, improving their rebounding in a dominant conference. Slaughter averaged 6.7 rebounds per game, ranked 13th in the SEC. Similarly, Reisma grabbed 5.9 rebounds per game and ranked 24th in the conference. Scru
