During the 2025–26 season, Kenzie Kostas was part of the coaching staff that helped lead the Missouri Tigers women's basketball to a 17–17 overall record and a 4–12 mark in Southeastern Conference play. The campaign marked the first season for the Missouri staff, as the group worked to establish a strong foundation for the program’s future. Missouri ranked among the nation’s best at the free-throw line, finishing 16th nationally and first in the SEC with a 77.9% free-throw percentage. The Tigers also showcased their perimeter shooting, ranking 30th nationally and fourth in the SEC in 3-pointers made, averaging 8.5 per game during the season. With a focus on post player development, Scruggs worked closely with Jordana Reisma and Slaughter, improving their rebounding in a dominant conference. Slaughter averaged 6.7 rebounds per game, ranked 13th in the SEC. Similarly, Reisma grabbed 5.9 rebounds per game and ranked 24th in the conference. Kostas was part of the staff that supported the breakout performance of Grace Slaughter, who led Missouri with 18.6 points per game and eclipsed the 1,000-point milestone during the year.
