In only his second season as a head coach, Smiley was named the MAC Coach of the Year. He led the RedHawks to a regular season and MAC Tournament Championship for the first time since 2005. The RedHawks had seven players recognized as All-MAC: Evan Appelwick, Dillon Baker, Ty Batusich, Carson Byers, Cooper Katskee, Ryan Novak and Anthony Zarlingo. Katskee also received the MAC Pitcher of the Year title and Zarlingo was named to the All-Defensive Team. Katskee, Zarlingo and Clayton Burke joined MAC Tournament MVP Dominic Krupinski on the All-Tournament Team. Appelwick was named a Second Team Academic All-American and Katskee a Third Team All-American. Kyle Trewyn joined the Miami coaching staff in June 2023. He now enters his third season with the RedHawks. In year two with the RedHawks, he helped push the team to a regular season and MAC Tournament Championship for the first time since 2005. The RedHawks had seven players recognized as All-MAC in 2025. Evan Appelwick was named a Second Team Academic All-American and Cooper Katskee a Third Team All-American. Miami pitcher Hayden Cuthbertson was selected in the 18th round of the 2025 MLB Draft by the Miami Marlins. The Red and White finished the 2025 season nationally ranked 12th in base on balls (346), 15th in on-base percentage (0.423), 24th in sacrifice flies (33), 34th in scoring (8.2) and 38th in runs (474). In his first season as an associate head coach with Miami, the team finished with a 17-13 record in Mid-American Conference play, the program's best conference record since 2019. The RedHawks went 27-27 overall, including a nine-game win streak (the best in five years), and advanced to the MAC Tournament for the first time since 2019. Zach MacDonald, Carson Byers and Ryland Zaborowski were named First Team All-MAC selections. Miguel Rivera enters his second season with the RedHawks after joining Brian Smiley's Miami staff as an assistant coach in June 2024. He most recently acted as a graduate assistant for the Indiana State baseball team. The RedHawks brought home a regular-season and MAC Tournament Championship in Rivera's first season with the team. Miami had seven players recognized as All-MAC, one player as an All-American and one player as an Academic All-American.
