Peter Netisingha

Biography

Peter Netisingha joined the UConn women's volleyball staff as an assistant coach in February, 2022. Netisingha was a key member of a UConn coaching staff that took the UConn women's volleyball program to historic successes in 2024, the first season with the team playing at the newly rennovated UConn Volleyball Center. Netisingha and the UConn staff coached the Huskies to single-season program record with 26 wins, finishing with a 26-8 record overall. Netisingha and UConn jumped out to their best start in program history, going 12-0 to start the 2024 season. Netisingha and the coaching staff led the Huskies to the 2024 BIG EAST Tournament and to 12 BIG EAST victories in the regular season, finishing third in the conference standings. The Huskies made a deep run into the postseason, making the 2024 NIVC Great 8. In 2024, the McKenna Brand was named BIG EAST Co-Freshman of the Year. Doga Kutlu, Emma Werkmeister, and Taylor Pannell were all named to the all-BIG EAST team under the guidance of Netisingha and the UConn staff. Netisingha in his first year assisting the Huskies saw solid results in the 2022 season. The women’s volleyball program went 17-14 overall and 10-8 in BIG EAST action. The Huskies made it to the BIG EAST semifinals and finished fifth in the conference standings. Netisingha arrives to Storrs after spending a year as a volunteer assistant with fellow BIG EAST member Marquette and also working at University of Ohio for a year.
