Parker Curry

Biography

Casey Dunn promoted Parker Curry to an assistant coach in the summer of 2025. He was previously the Director of Pitching Development, a position he held since July of 2023. Curry joined the UAB coaching staff after spending the 2023 season as the Director of Baseball Operations for Samford. During his tenure at Samford, he oversaw the data collection from Trackman and helped players understand that data and what it represents. He worked primarily with the pitchers with the data, but also spent time using Trackman for offensive purposes as well. In addition to Trackman, he oversaw the PitchCom system and helped a lot with scouting reports for the Bulldogs. He operates in a very similar role for the Blazers. During his playing career, Curry was a member of the Samford baseball team from 2013 to 2016. Despite contributing more on the mound, he was a two-way player as an infielder each year as well and got his at-bats when he wasn’t pitching. Curry spent time finding success as a starting pitcher, relief pitcher, and closer during his career. Curry was a multi-time winner of the So-Con Pitcher of the Week and a 1st Team All Southern-Conference starting pitcher his senior season. After his career at Samford, he signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2016 and was in the organization for the duration of his rookie contract until the fall of 2022.
