Devan Morrow enters his sixth season with the Zips. Prior to being named an assistant coach with the Zips, Morrow served as a graduate assistant. While as a graduate assistant at Akron, Morrow played a key role in the development of Enrique Freeman, Ali Ali and Greg Tribble who all were All-MAC selections their senior years. Freeman was ultimately drafted by the Pacers in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft. Morrow is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, where he attended St. Edward High School. He comes to Akron from Ohio State University where he served as a student manager for three seasons under head coach Chris Holtmann. Prior to and while working as a manager for the Buckeyes, Morrow interned with Pure Sweat Basketball and trainer Drew Sloan in Columbus. While with the Buckeyes, Morrow had the opportunity to work with future NBA signees Duane Washington Jr. and EJ Lidell.

Peter Farkas enters his third season as a graduate assistant with the Zips. Prior to Akron, Farkas was an assistant coach at SUNY Brockport after spending four years as a student manager. During his time at Brockport, the Golden Eagles made 2 NCAA tournaments in 2018 and 2020, including a SUNYAC Championship, Sweet 16 appearance and a top 10 national ranking in 2020. Farkas had multiple responsibilities within the Brockport program including player development, video editing, scouting and was the program’s director of social media. He also recruited Long Island and NYC. His efforts helped get commitments from two future conference rookie of the year winners, Danny Ashley (2018) and Mekhi Beckett (2022). Farkas graduated from SUNY Brockport in May of 2021 with a bachelors in Sport Management and a minor in coaching and media production. He earned his master’s degree in Sports Science/Physical Education from the University of Akron in May of 2024 and is a native of Greenlawn, NY where he attended Harborfields High School.

Terry Weigand (pronounced WHY-gand) returns to the Akron Zips bench in 2025 after serving under former Zips Head Coach Keith Danbrot at Duquesne from 2017-18 through 2023-24. Weigand brings over 25 years of experience to the Zips in his second stint with the Blue and Gold. The Barberton, Ohio native who coached his 1,000th career game during Duquesne's 2022-23 season, spent 13 seasons as an assistant on Dambrot’s staff at Akron, where his primary focus was in the area of player development. Weigand’s association with Dambrot began as a player at Tiffin in 1985 and 1986 - Dambrot’s two seasons as a head coach - and continued as Dambrot’s assistant at Ashland in 1990 and 1991. Prior to the assistant coaching role, he lettered for two seasons at Ashland (1988 & 1989) and helped the Eagles to a NCAA Division II tournament appearance in 1988. In his two seasons as an assistant at Ashland, the program amassed a record of 48-13 (.787) and made appearances in the NCAA tournament Sweet 16 in 1990 and Elite 8 in 1991. Weigand began a four-year stint as head coach at Ashland in 1991-92. That year, Weigand’s squad averaged 100.6 ppg on the way to a Great Lakes Valley Conference championship. In 1995, he moved on to the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio, where he assisted in rebuilding the program. The Raiders posted their first winning season in 18 years during his first year and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division III tournament in 1996-97. In his nine years at the s
