Temple defeated eventual American Conference champion South Florida, 79-78, in a thrilling White Out win at the Liacouras Center. A total of 11 of Temple’s 16 losses came by two possessions or fewer. Director of Men's Basketball Sports Performance

Ben Steenrod joined Temple Athletics in August 2021 as the Associate Director of Sports Performance. In his current role, Steenrod oversees all training aspects of the Women's Lacrosse and Women's Soccer programs. He also spends time assisting with Temple's Football program. In May 2025, he achieved the certification of Master Strength and Conditioning Coach through the CSCCa. Before arriving at Temple, Steenrod spent time at Saint Joseph's University, Villanova University and Virginia Tech. Steenrod started at Saint Joseph's University in 2011 as a part time assistant during the first year of the Hawks Strength department. In 2014 he was promoted to Head Strength Coach where he oversaw all aspects of training primarily for the Hawks Women's Basketball, Baseball, Women's Lacrosse, Men's Soccer, Softball and Nationally Ranked Field Hockey program. During varying points of his time on Hawk Hill, Steenrod also assisted with or was responsible for the training of the Men's Basketball and Men's Lacrosse teams. In his time at SJU, Steenrod helped to develop numerous high level MLB draft picks, future NBA players and helped multiple Hawks sports teams capture Atlantic 10 championships. As well as working as a strength coach, Steenrod served as color commentator for the Hawks Women's Basketball and Baseball teams both on the radio and ESPN+ broadcasts. Temple went 16-16 overall and 8-10 in the American Conference in 2025-26, finishing 10-6 at the Liacouras Center and putting together its longest winning streak since 2014-15 at seven games. The Owls also knocked off eventual conference champion South Florida, 79-78, in a White Out thriller, while 11 of their 16 losses came by two possessions or fewer. Temple’s identity was built on defense and ball security. The Owls ranked 11th nationally in turnovers per game (9.0), committing 10 or fewer turnovers in 20 of 32 games, and made one of the nation’s biggest defensive jumps by cutting scoring defense from 77.7 points per game in 2024-25 to 70.8 in 2025-26. Temple also held opponents to 32.4 percent shooting from 3-point range and averaged 4.0 blocks per game. The season also featured major growth from Temple’s core. Director of Player Development

Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree enters his second season as director of player development for the Temple University men's basketball team in 2026-27. A team captain at Villanova, Cosby-Roundtree appeared in all 40 games as a true freshman during the Wildcats' 2017-18 national championship season. He helped Villanova to an NCAA Final Four appearance in 2022, as well as four BIG EAST regular-season and three tournament championships during his tenure as a Wildcat. Villanova posted a 134-36 record with Cosby-Roundtree on the roster. Following his playing career, Cosby-Roundtree served as an assistant coach at Cristo Rey High School, less than two miles north of Temple's campus. He also worked two seasons as a video assistant with the Brooklyn Nets, assisting the coaching staff in preparing for games by analyzing film, scouting, and working in player development. At Neumann-Goretti high school, he averaged 15.9 points, 11.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks as a senior, and helped lead the Saints to four PIAA state championships. Cosby-Roundtree graduated with a bachelor's degree in liberal arts in 2021 and earned a master's degree in education and counseling in 2023 from Villanova.

Jordan Myers enters his second season as a graduate assistant for the Temple men's basketball team in 2026-27. Myers joins the Owls' staff following a standout playing career at Ramapo College, where he finished ranked among the program's top 10 all-time in both points (1,317, ninth) and rebounds (668, fourth). As a senior in 2024-25, Myers earned All-NJAC Second Team honors and was named to the NABC Honors Court. The Piscataway, N.J., native averaged 11.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while shooting 46.7 percent from the field. He helped lead Ramapo to the NJAC Championship Game and the NCAA Tournament, as the Roadrunners finished with a 21-8 record.
