Nico Piraino

Biography

Nico Piraino, a native of Scranton, Pa., joined the Owls in 2024, after serving as the director of football operations at Eastern Michigan for the 2023 season. In February 2025, less than one year later, he was promoted to chief of staff. In his role, he works closely with head coach K.C. Keeler overseeing all aspects of the program on and off the field. Prior to Eastern Michigan, Piraino interned with the Houston Texans in community development. His duties included player and community outreach efforts, organizing community events, and coordinating fundraising initiatives. He also served as a student manager for the Penn State football team for four years, while he earned his bachelor's degree in elementary and early childhood education and was selected to Dean's List.
