Brett Miller comes to Rutgers University with a diverse background of experience that includes collegiate coaching, and corporate roles. Miller then spent one year at Monmouth serving as an assistant baseball coach, performing a variety of duties including, individualized practice plans and assisting in the development of student-athletes both on and off the field. Most recently, Miller was a member of the Frostburg State coaching staff in 2018-2020. While there, he supported the program's transition from Division III to Division II baseball. Miller, an outfielder on the York College (Pa.) baseball team, earned his bachelor's degree in sport management in 2014 followed by a master's degree in education from Frostburg State University in 2020. Miller currently resides in Roselle, New Jersey.

Assistant Coach
Daryn Miller. a veteran coach and former professional player who has instructed at all levels including a trio of consecutive trips to the NJCAA National Tournament, begins his second season as an assistant coach at Rutgers. Miller arrives at Rutgers after serving as an interim head coach and assistant coach with Memphis softball. Prior to his role at Memphis, Miller spent six years with Hardin County High School in Savannah, Tennessee with multiple state tournament appearances and a third-place finish in 2022. He also worked on staff with Heartland Community College helping the squad to three national tournament appearances including taking third in 2008 and hoisting the trophy for the national title in 2009. Before joining the coaching ranks, Miller played baseball at Memphis and Lake Land Community College where he earned first-team all-region honors. Miller also played 15 years in Men's Major Fastpitch and was named an ASA All-American and a three-time member of the USA National Team. Miller graduated from Memphis with a bachelor's degree in professional studies and obtained a master's degree from UT-Martin in teaching.

Athletic Academic Advisor
Jasmine Edwards has worked as an academic advisor with the Scarlet Knights since 2020, helping the Scarlet Knights to maintain a high level of excellence in the classroom while also managing the rigor of athletic competition. Edwards currently advises student-athletes with Rutgers' women's basketball, softball, and men's lacrosse. A member of the Rutgers women's soccer team from 2008-2011, Edwards has related first-hand to the challenges of balancing both life in the classroom and on the field. A double graduate of Rutgers University, Edwards earned her bachelor's degree in sport management in 2012 and her master's degree of education in 2015. Prior to her return "On the Banks," Edwards was an assistant athletic director of student services at Wagner College from 2016-2020, where she oversaw the academic support for all student-athletes. From 2015-2016, she worked as an athletic academic advisor at IUPUI. There, Edwards worked with softball and women's tennis and oversaw the study hall program.

Assistant Coach
Nick French begins his first season as a member of Kristen Butler's staff in July of 2025. French arrives “On The Banks” with over 18 years of experience across the SEC, CAA, Patriot, Conference USA, America East and Pac-12 conferences along with five seasons as a Division I head coach and NCAA Tournament appearances with Arizona and Memphis. Most recently, he was on staff as an assistant at Towson, where he worked with the Tiger pitching staff during the 2025 season. He was also a member of the Towson staff as an assistant in 2017. French’s other stops include spending the 2024 season as Director of Player Development at Georgia, leading Bryant University as the head coach from 2019-23, as well as stints with Arizona, Memphis, Holy Cross, Simmons (Mass.) College, and Piedmont (Pa.) College. While with the national runner-up Diamondbacks in 2010, French served as the volunteer assistant coach and oversaw the daily operations of the team. French also worked with the pitching staff for four seasons at Holy Cross, which included Gennifer Durham throwing the first-perfect game in school history and only the second in Patriot League history in 2013. As an assistant coach at Memphis, French was in the dugout for the program’s first NCAA Regional berth in program history. The Tigers also achieved a school record 10-game win streak in 2011. A 2005 graduate of Emerson College with a degree in journalism, French also worked with the softball program as an undergraduate.

Athletic Trainer
Zach Adkins is currently in his sixth season working as the Scarlet Knights' athletic trainer. Adkins began his tenure at Rutgers in 2015 as an athletic training intern before moving up to full-time status as an assistant athletic trainer.
