Bob Fraser is in his sixth season back at Rutgers and 16th overall "On the Banks" in 2025. Bringing over 35 seasons of coaching experience, Fraser is in his fourth stint on the Scarlet Knights' staff. He first joined the program in 1987 as a graduate assistant before returning from 2006-11 in various capacities, including defensive coordinator. Fraser served as the RU linebackers coach in 2014 and 2015. Overall, Fraser has been part of nine Rutgers bowl trips, including six wins. RUTGERS: 2020-Present • Fraser spent the past two seasons as senior analyst in helping the Scarlet Knights to back-to-back winning seasons and bowl appearances. • Fraser served as senior advisor in 2022, a season that saw Rutgers post its best mark in total defense in 10 years. A former starting quarterback for the Scarlet Knights under Greg Schiano, Chas Dodd is in his third season as an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the football program. Dodd spent the previous two seasons as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Miami. Before Miami, Dodd worked at The University of South Carolina for three seasons (2016-2018). He served as a strength and conditioning graduate assistant during his time in Columbia. Dodd arrived at South Carolina after spending one year as an assistant football coach/strength and conditioning coach at Opelika High School in Alabama. A native of Lyman, South Carolina, Dodd played one year of professional football in the IFL (Italian Football League) in 2015 for the Lazio Marines. Dodd earned the league's player of the year award after he led the league with 295.8 passing yards per game. Dodd enjoyed a four-year career at Rutgers from 2010-2013, where he helped the Scarlet Knights to three consecutive bowl games. Dodd finished his career "On the Banks" with 24 touchdown passes and more than 4,000 yards passing. An Academic All-Big East student-athlete, Dodd was named the conference offensive player of the week after he threw for 322 yards and two touchdowns in a come-from-behind win against UConn in his first career start. Dodd earned a bachelor's degree from Rutgers University and his master's degree from California University of Pennsylvania.

Damiere Shaw, who was promoted to associate offensive coordinator in 2026, is in his seventh season at Rutgers and fourth as running backs coach. A Broyles Award nominee, Shaw was instrumental in the development of RB Kyle Monangai, who produced the two highest rushing seasons for RU in the Big Ten era and was drafted by the Chicago Bears. Adding in RB Antwan Raymond’s Doak Walker Award semifinalist season, Rutgers is the only power conference program with a 1,200-yard rusher each of the past three years (2023-25). A native of Chester, Pennsylvania, Shaw previously coached RU wide receivers after joining the Scarlet Knights as the director of player development. RUTGERS • Shaw was promoted to associate offensive coordinator in March 2026. • As the only power conference program with a 1,200-yard rusher each of the past three seasons (2023-25), Shaw has coached three of the top eight rushing seasons by yards in program history. A long-time fixture in New Jersey's football scene, Dan Spittal is in his fourth year with Rutgers football as a player personnel analyst. Spittal served as the Scarlet Knights' director of player personnel in 2019 and spent the previous two seasons within the program's player development office. Prior to his arrival "On the Banks" in 2016, Spittal served as the offensive coordinator and tight ends coach at TCNJ in 2015. Spittal mentored five all-conference selections on the offensive side of the ball. Spittal arrived at TCNJ after a 13-year stint as the head coach at Eastern Camden County Regional High School in Voorhees, New Jersey, from 2000-13. Under the leadership of Spittal, the Vikings made playoffs eight times, which included four quarterfinal appearances in 2004, 20006, 2008, 2009; semifinal appearances in 2007 and 2012; finalist in 2013 and a state title in 2003. Among the players Spittal coached at Eastern was Logan Ryan, a standout defensive back at Rutgers and current starter for the Tennessee Titans as well as Eli Apple, current starter with the New Orleans Saints. Prior to his head coaching stint, Spittal was the offensive coordinator at Eastern from 1992-99 and Pemberton Township High School from 1985-1991. Jeff Jones, who returned in 2022, is in his second stint with Rutgers football and serves as director of player development. Jones previously worked at his alma mater, Southern Illinois, as the Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations under Director of Athletics and former Scarlet Knights' offensive coordinator Jerry Kill. Jones also worked "On the Banks" in 2017 in the player development office. Previously, Jones spent five seasons on staff at Minnesota from 2012-16 – which included three as the Gophers' Director of Player Personnel. There, Jones oversaw the day-to-day operations for the football student-athletes and worked closely with the coaching, recruiting, academic and communication staffs. Prior to his arrival in Minneapolis, Jones was the coordinator of academic support at Southern Illinois from 2009-12. Jones managed all academic support for the athletic department and hosted recruits during official visits for football, women's basketball, softball and track and field. Jones began working in academics with football at Southern Illinois as a graduate assistant in 2007. Jones played football at Southern Illinois from 2002-05 and worked in athletics at SIU from 2005-11. The Detroit native played defensive line for the Salukis and helped Southern Illinois to three consecutive conference titles from 2003-05. Jones received his bachelor's degree (2006) and master's degree (2008) from Southern Illinois.

Jeremy Engel is in his eighth season with Rutgers football and second as the program's assistant director of video technology. In addition to administering Catapult Thunder, Engel is responsible for the organization of practice footage, game film, as well as all technological needs the Scarlet Knights may need. Engel also manages the team's student video staff consisting of 15-plus students. Engel previously served as an assistant video coordinator for Rutgers from 2018-19 and was a student videographer for the football program from 2014-18. Engel also worked with the New Jersey Jackals of the Frontier League as a game day operations and promotions intern. A native of Teaneck, New Jersey, Engel graduated from Rutgers University in 2018 with a degree in sport management.

Jim Turner is in his first season as Rutgers' offensive line coach in 2026. Turner, a native of Boston, worked as offensive line coach in the NFL for four seasons, developed multiple draft picks at the collegiate level and has over 30 years of experience overall. His offensive line helped Trayveon Williams lead the SEC in rushing yards (1,760), rushing touchdowns (18) and total touchdowns (19) in 2018. The New Port Richey, Florida, native took over leadership of the Rutgers football strength and conditioning program in June 2025 after an 11-year tenure at Dartmouth. RUTGERS • In 2025, the Scarlet Knights averaged 407.1 yards of total offense overall and 389.1 in Big Ten play, the team's best marks in a season since joining the league. Rutgers had the second-leading passer (QB Athan Kaliakmanis, 260.3) and third-leading rusher (RB Antwan Raymond, 103.4) and receiver (WR KJ Duff, 90.3) in the Big Ten, as RU was one of eight teams nationally to produce a 3,000-yard passer, 1,000-yard rusher and 1,000-yard receiver. Duff and Raymond, who were both Second Team All-Big Ten honorees, joined OL Kwabena Asamoah as All-America selections. Will Gilkison is in his 22nd season with the Rutgers football program in 2023 and serves as the associate athletic director of football. He previously held the title of director of football operations for nine years after working as director of external operations and as a member of the Rutgers coaching staff. Gilkison was a four-year letterwinner for the Scarlet Knights. Gilkison's duties include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the football program, along with logistical and budgetary responsibilities.
