Erin Batth

Biography

Erin Batth embarks on her third season as head coach of the Providence College women’s basketball team during the 2025-26 campaign. She was named the 11th head coach in program history on March 20, 2023. Batth also is the first Black female head coach in program history and one of 11 Black female head coaches in BIG EAST Conference women’s basketball all-time. During the 2024-25 campaign, the Friars claimed the No. 7 seed in the BIG EAST Tournament, improving two seed positions from the previous year (No. 9). It marked Providence’s highest finish in the league standings since the 2020-21 season. Batth continued to mentor and develop Grace Efosa and Olivia Olsen during their final season collegiate eligibility. Both players reached the 1,000-point milestone and earned All-BIG EAST recognition. Efosa claimed All-BIG EAST Second Team honors, while Olsen earned Honorable Mention status. It marked the first time since 1997 that multiple Friars earned All-BIG EAST honors. Olsen, who was a member of the All-BIG EAST Second-Team in 2024, became the first Friar since Nadine Malcolm ‘97 to earn All-BIG EAST honors in back-to-back seasons. Malcolm achieved the feat in 1996 and 1997. Olsen finished her career at Providence as one of three players in program history to record more than 1,250 points and 850 rebounds.
