Head coach Marc Gordon has produced 59 victories and led Northwest to six consecutive MIAA Tournament appearances in eight seasons at the helm of the program. Gordon was hired as the third soccer head coach in Northwest Missouri State history on December 14, 2017, after serving as the Director of Soccer and head women's coach at Ottawa University since 2010. At Ottawa, Gordon compiled a 113-38-15 record and helped lead the Braves to three KCAC regular season titles and four conference tournament titles, with back-to-back appearances at the NAIA Women's Soccer National Tournament Final Site. Gordon is a three-time KCAC Coach of the Year and was the 2016 Regional Coach of the Year. Prior to Ottawa, he was a head coach with the Pride Soccer Club in Colorado Springs from 2003-10 and served as Athletics Director and men's soccer coach at Holy Names University from 2002-03, helping start the men's program. Gordon also helped start the soccer programs at Bethany College in 1992-1993, where he served as Assistant Athletic Director and compiled multiple playoff appearances with one conference championship. He graduated from St. Mary of the Plains College where he was a four-year all-conference performer and earned his master's degree in Sport Management/Administration from the United States Sports Academy.
