Northwest Missouri State University Volleyball

Amy (Phelps) Woerth is the head volleyball coach at Northwest Missouri State and the program's all-time wins leader with 225 victories. Named head coach prior to the 2013 season, Woerth has compiled a career record of 225-164 overall and 134-107 in MIAA play. She earned MIAA Coach of the Year honors in 2018 and 2022, the latter after leading the Bearcats to their first regular season MIAA championship. Under her direction, the program has captured the AVCA Team Academic Award in 12 consecutive seasons. Woerth previously served as a graduate assistant at Northwest under head coach Lori Slight (2003-2004) and coached at Alaska-Fairbanks as an assistant and associate head coach (2005-2010) and at Graceland University. She graduated from Graceland University with a double major in health and wellness and program management, and earned her master's degree from Northwest in 2005. As a student-athlete at Graceland, Woerth earned first-team all-conference and all-region honors, was named an honorable mention NAIA All-American and NAIA All-American Scholar-Athlete, and served as co-captain of a team that won both regular season and postseason titles in the Heart of America Conference.
