One year after joining Liberty’s staff as an assistant coach, Nikki Parsley-Blocker was named the program’s second head coach on January 16, 2017. Parsley-Blocker joined Liberty’s staff as an assistant coach on May 1, 2016 in time for Liberty’s first season as a part of the BIG EAST Conference. Parsley-Blocker is the second head coach in the history of the program, taking over for program founder Jodi Murphy, who left in December 2016. In her first eight seasons as head coach, Parsley-Blocker has guided Liberty to a 103-50 record, and she is the winningest coach in program history. Her .673 career winning percentage is currently seventh best among all active Division I field hockey head coaches. She has coached one NFHCA Division I Player of the Year, one Honda Sport Award winner for field hockey, 14 NFHCA Division I All-America recipients, one NCAA Elite 90 Award winner, two BIG EAST Championship MVPs, three NCAA Field Hockey Championship All-Tournament team selections, 39 All-BIG EAST selections, two BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year honorees, two BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year honorees, one BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year, one BIG EAST Co-Defensive Player of the Year, 32 NFHCA All-South Region team honorees, 33 VaSID Field Hockey All-State University Division team selections, three VaSID Offensive Player of the Year honorees, one VaSID Player of the Year honoree, two VaSID Defensive Player of the Year honorees, one VaSID Rookie of the Year and one VaSID Co-Rooki

Her areas of responsibility include team travel, recruiting, equipment, budget, procurement and reconciliation. She also assists in facility and match day operations with the men's tennis program. Strohmeier was a four-year student-athlete at Liberty (2020-24), competing on the Lady Flames swimming & diving team. A three-time CCSA individual medalist, she was also named to the 2020-21 and 2021-22 CCSA Honor Roll. Strohmeier earned a bachelor's degree in public health: health promotion from Liberty in May 2024 and also earned a minor in sport management. She graduated with summa cum laude honors and was an Honors Program graduate at Liberty. Strohmeier gained experience in Liberty Athletics as a Summer Intern for the Flames Club in 2022 and as a Liberty Sports Nutrition Intern during the spring 2024 semester. Originally from Birmingham, Ala., Strohmeier currently resides in Lynchburg.

Prior to that, she worked at Stanford for the 2021-22 academic year, working primarily with women's water polo (national champions), artistic swimming and men's rowing. At Stanford, she also assisted with women's basketball, women's golf, fencing and women's lacrosse. Evans' other work experience includes serving as a Graduate Fellow Strength and Conditioning Coach at Merrimack during the 2020-21 school year, working primarily with women's soccer and cross country while assisting with men's soccer, men's lacrosse, women's ice hockey, softball, baseball and football. She also worked for Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning for three years (2018-21) and trained middle school, high school and collegiate athletes as well as the general population. Evans graduated from Delaware with a bachelor's degree in exercise science and a minor in strength and conditioning in May 2017. She earned a master's degree in exercise and sports science from Merrimack in May 2021.
