Assistant Coach
Following a sterling career in the Buff & Blue, Stella Wiesemann enters her second year as a graduate assistant coach with GW tennis. In her first season, Wiesemann assisted Head Coach George Rodriguez and the Revolutionaires to six match wins, helping to develop GW's young roster towards the future. "I'm extremely excited to announce Stella as our next Assistant Tennis Coach at GW," Rodriguez said in 2024. "Stella already has the respect of the returning players from playing at the one spot for us the last few years. Her playing experience at the higher level will help push our team forward. "Stella has a very upbeat and outgoing personality that will complement mine to reach new heights as we move forward into a new era of GW tennis. She understands the game and the challenges along with it, to help guide the returners and our new players coming in. The future is bright and promising with Stella joining the coaching staff!" A three-time A-10 First Team All-Conference honoree, Wiesemann recently finished her undergrad career at GW with 61 singles victories and 55 doubles triumphs in the last three seasons. The Jena, Germany native graduated from GW last month with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and was an intern for the GW Athletics marketing department. "I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to support the team in any way possible and contribute to our success on and off the court," Wiesemann said.
