Chuck Scheinost enters his 13th season as head coach of the GW golf program in 2025-26. Scheinost has helped lead GW golf to new heights during his tenure, including a second place finish at the 2024 A-10 Championships. The Buff & Blue have finished in the top four of the conference championship seven times in his tenure, including three of the last four seasons. Under Scheinost's guidance, 2024 graduate Jakub Hrinda became just the third golfer in program history to become a two-time All-Conference honoree. Hrinda also earned back-to-back PING All-Region accolades and landed a spot on the A-10 All-Academic team twice. The 2022-23 season was a historic one for GW, breaking numerous team and individual records and earning an invitation to the inaugural Golfweek National Golf Invitational postseason event. The season featured the program record for individual 18-hole score (Jakub Hrinda, 62), 36-hole score (Jakub Hrinda, 132), 54-hole score (Jakub Hrinda, 199) and team low tournament scores through 36 (554, VCU Shootout) and 54 holes (829, VCU Shootout). At the time, the Buff & Blue recorded the three lowest 54-hole team scores in program history during the season and Jakub Hrinda and Manuel Barbachano earned individual tournament victories. Assistant Coach
Toks Pedro joined the GW golf staff as the program's assistant coach in August 2024. Pedro has been a professional since 2018, joining the APGA tour as a full-time member in 2022 and posting six top-10 finishes in 10 events, including three top-3 finishes and a victory at TPC Sugarloaf. His career began by earning stats on the PGA Tour China in 2019 and winning five times on the Moonlight Tour from 2020-21. Pedro had a standout amateur career as well, beginning with his undergraduate career at Rutgers, where he was a three-time Preseason All-Big Ten selection and two-time Big Ten All-Academic honoree while serving as team captain for the Scarlet Knights. Originally from Nigeria, Pedro attended Hilton Head Preparatory School in Hilton Head, S.C., before heading to Rutgers. He has twice won an individual bronze medal for his country and won the Veritas World Junior representing Nigeria in 2013. He became the first Nigerian to ever qualify for the US Amateur in 2018 and was the Medalist at the Washington Metropolitan Amateur Championship the same year.
